WAY TO GO TONY!
What did you think of that surface ?
Any non live videos of this online? Didn't manage to catch the live web cast.
Blog update from Tony:
He is off to Iowa for another tournament.
When a player wins a tournament, isn't it now customary to slip on the sponsor's watch before the trophy presentation? Come on Michelle, rustle up some TW bling for the man! ;-)
Great result, Tony. Hope you're loving every minute.
Haha well my shirt did have a TW patch on the sleeve, and the Mac announced my blog here during player introductions as well!
Haha, we will get on that
I wish we had watches and bling at TW!!
Good job tony. Nice to get paid to play tennis!
Thanks!! Yeah the surface is tough to play on. I don't think anyone really likes it but you have to adapt. In reality I think it helps my game for the most part
Tony, I read your blog and it stated that you saw a movie.. it wasn't Grown Ups 2... right?
I believe Tony is married now.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Haha no it was the Conjuring. If you like creepy and suspense it was very good!
An update from Iowa:
Good luck against your SF opponent Tony.
Looks like Tony ran into a 61 61 buzz saw in the final
wow i really have a problem with events that make guys play 3 matches in 1 day. Its just totally irresponsible IMO
Yeah he did. I wonder how the injuries impacted it. If they did.
Update from the semis and finals of Iowa.
Looks like it was an off day for Tony against a tough opponent.
On to the next one!
Congrats on your win in Ontario on the weekend Tony..
At least it wasn't a weak draw as the other tournaments..
No Tony beat Robert Rotaru in the finals. Robert is a former D1 player that played for the Louisville Cardinals. He had a good college career.
I didn't mention this tournament.
An update from Tony:
He's been struggling with some personal stuff and could use some extra strength, so let's show our support for him here!!
Damn. Good luck with everything Tony. Sounds rough.
Tony, you have more people supporting you than you will ever know. All the best to you.
Good luck with tennis Tony. I hope the best to you
Yes tony. All the best.
Tony I feel your pain. Stay positive as you're a very lucky person. Life is a gift and we all have our ups and downs. Weather its a family death, health issue or a lost love, we are lucky to have the opportunity to live life. Most people live in poverty and never get a chance to thrive. I know its easy for me to say this, as I can only speculate what is going on, as its none of my business. We are with you.
Congratulations on all your success this summer! Focus on the positive and know that you have a lot of supporters that wish you nothing but the best. Good luck in your upcoming tournaments!
Congrats on the win Tony!
Sorry things are down for you ... hope they get better! You've always seemed to be such a nice guy on the boards and I think all of us hacks are lucky to have someone at your level interacting and sharing with us.
Best of luck man, I really hope I can watch you play in person some day!
We've all had those moments in our lives. Be well, Tony.
Looks like next up for Tony at US Open Nationals is Nolan Paige. Anyone know anything about him?
link to the draw please?
Here it is:
Plays at Stanford
after looking at the draw, anyone can win this.
Tony has as good of a chance as any.
Actually this draw is not any tougher then the open hard courts, might even be less
anyway, i believe Tony can do it
