    Hi TW!

I haven't been a part of the TW community for very long. I was wondering if you guys have taken part in Black Friday or Cyber Monday in the past (yes, I know they're a long ways away). There's a racquet that I'm itching to buy, but don't really "need," so I'm waiting for some kind of sale to justify my purchase lol.
Hope you guys can let me know. :)

May I suggest a sale to add on to the current sale on the Wilson BLX line? Particularly the Tour 90? You have to clear them out for the new BLX line anyway. Just trying to do you guys a favor here.

It's hard for internet retailers to offer good sales because they're bound to MAP but I do like the discount they had on giftcards last year

Looks like they are out this year earlier. I guess sales are slow this year which doesn't bode well for retailers in general. Anyways, I plan on getting a few more gift cards since I depleted 5 out of 6 $150 buying strings, shoes, clothing, and racquets from them.

I comepletely missed the gift card sale. What was it? I assume you would get giftcards for less than the face value of the card, like a $50 card for $40 or something like that.

Well they have the green CB 3.3's for $85. That's a pretty good deal, but not the best.

The so called Black Friday sales at all online tennis stores are generally misleading. For the most part they simply re-brand the liquidation section. What new items added would be added anyway as they are being replaced.

The banner says Black Friday and it is live for the world to see. Regardless of the fact it's Wednesday Night Central Time.

Something seemed odd on the sale to me. At one point, I saw the PB9 for something like $25 on Wed night for a minute but it stayed at $99 when I would come back to it minutes later. Never did change after that, so I didn't bother. I'll eventually get more but it wasn't urgent.

Apparel sale seems a bit disingenuous, with a relatively tiny number of items, some of which were down to one color available in one unpopular size.

Does anybody know if the Asics GR3 was a black friday temporary sale or if they're permanently $80? I just bought a pair a month ago but had to buy another because I love them and I thought the price decrease was temporary, anybody here or from the TW staff know?

The entire online Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales for online tennis retailers is basically a sham. I do not blame the stores themselves for that. They are under strict MAP/Authorized Dealer contracts/legal price fixing that makes it impossible for them to offer real sales.

But what I do blame retailers for as a whole is the sham of sales pages that they all put together. They make their normal liquidation sections look like HUGE holiday sales. They all do it. The one bright light is TW's gift card sale.

    Gift Card Sale

Does TW only do the gift card sale once a year? I know they already did it once and I missed out....

Sounds like you should subscribe to TW's social media department if you haven't already and/or are already on the social media platforms ;)

I feel creepy, but I follow them on twitter and facebook, and now Google+. I see frequent reminders for sales, so I don't miss out :)
