Bring back the PC600! Well, at least a small batch, anyway.
    I need my fix! :)

I'd be interested in the PT280/630, but only if it actually felt like the old one with Twaron. I think the Microgel plays as well, but miss the feeling of the Pro Tour.

Spec, composition, and quality control. It doesn't matter what they decide to do with the paintjob, just as long as it's not horrible and a blindfolded Sampras couldn't tell the difference. Though I guess the last part would be impossible.

They're not made in Austria anymore so I have my doubts on the QC part of your request.

Hope TW follows through with this. I know the 25th anniversary prestige (grey circuit board edition) is coming out, but I'd buy an older prestige reissue over that in a second

Search; the info ain't hard to find. This thread is about the PC600/PT280 though.

If TW can get HEAD to do a midplus re-release, I strongly recommend that they use the 630 designation as opposed to 280. Sure, it's just a number, but the 630 has an added mystique which will definitely help sales.

In regard to CAP grommets for said racquet, they need to be the proper TK 57, and not the crappy TK 238 if they want to do it right. The frames, of course, need to be drilled with bigger holes for the 57 grommets.

Matchmaker, do you have many PC600s in your collection? I have two, but
I would love to get a few more.

    I will echo this.

A lighter version that was expected to be customized with lead & silicone would be very popular.

I disagree. The general public does not want to waste their time injecting silicone into handles and adding lead tape to their rackets.

    +1

Why would we want a PT630 light or a PC600S? We want the real thing.

That may be true. Of course, the general public does not want a PT630 either. Aside from a rabid group of fans here it is an anachronism.

For the same reason that the current Head pro's use them - so they can be customized to your exact spec's.

I will admit that it may not be a popular option. I customize and string my own but forget that many people here would be challenged to remove a buttcap.

Reissue of PT 280 with same specs, cosmetics & layup?
Best idea in racquets in a very long time. TW would sell a ton of them.
Count me in for a least 2.

Any updates on this possible re-issue? I'm not picky about country of manufacture, as long as the QC and consistency between frames is there.

i dont think its a good idea......it will be china made, the batch will not even be close to original. its all just about the money. it will also get mixed in with all the original ones thus decreasing their real value. the world is a dark place

If IG Mid is as good as everyone says, then why reissue?

Personally I would not mind a pure graphite version of Prestige Mid, but maybe IG version is easier to play with after all...

I like the IG MP and think that it is a fine racquet and definitely easier on the arm than the YT but I think that there is still no substitute for a low flex number. I'd certainly like to try it out. It may turn out that I actually prefer a stiffer frame.

The country of manufacture has nothing to do with it. There've been variations in the Prestige recipe going all the way back to the beginning, all of them made in Austria. If you hit with say, an original brown Prestige or TXP versus say, a Trek font Prestige 600, they feel quite different, balance quite differently, etc. Then pick up a Prestige Classic and hit with that—those will be quite different as well. Same goes for the Classic Mid ones.
Personally, I'd be happy with a re-issue from any of the generations of what we consider the "Prestige." As long as it doesn't have any "intelligent" fibers, gels, liquid metals, or other marketanium.

To set expectations, TW/Head could just be transparent about the product, e.g. "This is a re-issue of the 1991 - 1993 Prestige." Give us a reference point so that we can verify the QC and consistency of the frames. At the end of the day, that's what really matters.

    Hi Vsbabolat

Good to hear Chinese made PT10, so they still exist.

Any chinese made Pt57A lately or in future?

TW should pursue Chinese made PT280 and PC600, even only if painted plain flat black.

So with the leaked new prestige line, and the fact that by the look of it the Mid has gone, any news on a reissue of the PC600? Please?
