    Hi Chris,

Many thanks for the great review however I'm puzzled by the power rating on the review.

You guys gave it a rating of 75 (low-medium) racket yet gave a higher power rating of 77 for Wilson KBlade 98 which is a low power racket.

    Thanks,

    Mawashi

Maybe it's due to the higher plow through? Remember, TW's ratings are subjective, and generally, they can't really be carried over from one review to the next. Some rackets in the past were rated fairly low (72 overall?) and they were super hot frames.

    Hi meowmix,

I'm not too sure about that as I own a KBlade 98 and even though it is a 3 pts head light it doesn't really plow through the ball as it is only 315g strung weight.

Furthermore, I'm quite sure that any racquet that has a higher power level like the KSurge Racquet which is medium should have a higher power rating than the KBlade 98 yet on the review the KSurge is 76 and the KBlade is 77?

As for the plow through why then isn't the K Factor Six One Tour 90 rated higher then?

I really wish that the rating are more objective and less subjective although the reviews are pretty good.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be difficult but I would prefer a more uniform rating system. This will really help those of us that don't chance to demo the rackets.

None the less a big thanks to the reviews :)

    Mawashi.

The changes between the RSDS 001 M/MP original and the 2008 edition are in the grommets and the paintjob. If you take older grommets and put it into the 2008 Ed. you basically get the older racquets and visa versa. There isn't any need to review the RDS 001 M/MP completly again when the diffrence is so slight, if most can even tell a real difrrence anyway.

I personally didn't like this racket. Little too light weight for me. Lacks power and lacks spin potential too. and it does not produce a heavy ball due to its light weight. but very good manuverability.

The scores are incorrect. For some reason the wrong graphic is being pulled for that review.

    Here are the actual scores:
    Power 80
    Control 78
    Maneuverability 81
    Stability 76
    Comfort 81
    Touch/Feel 79
    Serves & Overheads 80
    Groundstrokes 80
    Returns 79
    Slice 81
    Topspin 82
    Volleys 78
    Overall 79

We will get the review fixed Monday.

    Sorry for the confusion,
    Chris,TW

The 2008 version features a subtle update: The relocation of the soft grommets for improved feel.

LOL! Perfect might be a some ways off but what's wrong with trying to make things better?

Christ, hats off to you for correcting the misprint and again for such a great review.

Btw, will you guys be doing a review for the RDS 002 Tour which just so happens to be a best seller LOL?

    Thanks again,

    Mawashi

No plans for the RDS 002 Tour at this time, but never say never.

If I have the original version and buy the new grommets, will they fit the old racquet and give it the improved feel?
