Those space shoes by Kswiss a couple years ago for Monfils were a disaster. Never saw one player in pros or local ever wear them.

Any shoes by Asics can be described as ugly. I do not like their stripes.

K-Swiss spent so much money on that launch, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone wear them.

Wow, that is heinous. And i like orange. Even if you replace the garish purple parts with gray and blue, it would still be unattractive.

On the feel end of things, there is something negative about their little plastic ode to pyramids, and the texture of the laces. No fanks.

The meshy tongue looks comfy, though.

I think it is trying to be gold, hoping to appeal to the Chinese market during the Chinese indoor season...hideous colorway...

I bought a pair of them at a Ross for $15 or so.

I still have them, but they are toast. They lasted like 2 weeks maybe.

I have those! I paid about $10 at Rugged Warehouse.
First time I wore them on hard court they were about 25% tread gone

Yep. I was surprised to see that they were designed by jason petrie who's very well known in the sneaker community. Currently designing lebrons signature models. Guess you cant always succeed haha.

The one thing i do wish nike tennis would do is have designers in the basketball division design some shoes, just like how tinker hatfield from jordan designed the vapor 9 tours.

I feel that nike tennis shoes havent improved all that much in the past few years. But after trying on the barricade 8s.. I dont blame them lol

Ok, those colors are beautiful to those of us who might have attended michigan, uc berkeley, cal st los angeles or might like the indiana pacers. But the plastic look is just bad.

Maybe with a good amt of navy mixed in  haha

If you think the shiny plastic looking part looks bad new, you shiuldve seen then when they were worn and scratched. Not to mention a severe ventilation problem.

Oh, sorry, that is not navy...it must be black. Okay, well, maybe the vandy or mizzou fans then.

Ventilation problem, ouch. yeah, no thanks.

I have to second the nomination of the tubes. Never tried them on, but they looked like trash and performed trashier. I heard ZERO positive elements of those things.

    Nike Courtposite...

I ended up with several pairs of these for free when they first debut and never wore them. They were so narrow and inflexible that they inflicted SERIOUS pain on my archs. I sent them back to Nike and told them I'd take a pass. I never thought they were ugly but totally impractical and uncomfortable.

Didn't LeBron also have a huge problem with hs sig shoes a while ago and instead wear a different model? Was Petrie responsible for those as well?

Yeah they look really plasticky and inflexible. Murder for lateral movement. Agassi used to put huge, huge lateral pressure on his shoes so these would've felt horrible.

Nurses love it. Short dudes, too, unless that is a deep heel cup.

Actually, am i noticing more hipsters and trendies wearing clean white athletic shoes? Probably ironically.

Nah man, smiths are smiths...iconic. Lavers and nastases, too.
I am talking about all-white tennis shoes making some weird comeback among trendies like kanye west....like a nineties new balance shoe or an old reebok.

Sidenote....i have seen white Vans on aging hipster-types like gavin mcInnis. nowhere near as sporty and mega cushiony like the costco/kirklands pictured.

Also, just among the teens...seems like 3-6 yrs ago, the good junior players hated white tennis shoes. Now, i get compliments on my white and blue Babolat SFX shoes, which i only wear on the court.

    Back on topic...
Man, the new nike cages are as heinous as barricades. I am about to get a pair of pairs of the black and blue babolat sfx.

Agreed with your points. Everything is on a cycle and thus white tennis shoes (for playing the actual sport) have to come back! Personally, I am a bit tires of space age looking shoes like cages and barricades you mentioned. I'm drawn more and more to Nole's barricades nowadays

    Ok cool. I don't know the 9s.
I really just meant the barricades proffered in this thread.

I think adidas ought to work with the forthcoming administration and put stripes on that wall. Call it a barricade.

Bet trump will open it up for bids, and encourage the swoosh to ante up a few bills. Possibly a windows or an apple logo?

Kidding. But only about the wall.
