yeah what is dunlop doing now?
is that Jelena?....my god........
Glad you guys like the poly bag pic.
Dunlop has three packages.
1st 2 racquets, 10 pack bag, shirt, and stencil
2nd 3 racquets, 10 pack bag, shirt, string, and stencil
3rd is the same as the 2nd but with 4 racquets
Thabks...are these available in the uk?
What's the cost and what ranking do you need?
OK I got a BIG**BIG question here:
I am in the UK and i got my new ranking yesterday:
County ranking: 34 <-- is this really low?
how is this ranking in relation to the USTA system?
I have no idea coz I am guessing SECTION > COUNTY
plus my national ranking is 900 sth
would I be able to get a sponsorship, however minor?
I know things dont come cheap,
just wondering. Anyway I got another (off-topic) question:
I am a junior at intermediate level,
I have been playing touraments and stuff
with junior national ranking etc
I am 15 would there be ANY chance at all becoming pro?
If so will there be any body, i.e. sponsorship e.g. government funding to help me through with the process of becoming a pro?
I am really enthuastic about tennis and I am chinese (would this matter?) Anyway I LOVE THE GAME and i would like to improve..
Whats the easiest string sponsor to get?
It all depends on how good you are. If you are too 10 in the nation then yes you could probably gt funding from top compaines. Remember Mardy Fish was only around 20 in the nation when he was a junior now look at him!
Does anyone know the packeges Babolat offers? Has it been cleared up on how high you have to be?
I think all the babolat stuff is earlier on in the thread...
I'm 14th in my county ( in under 14s)
I think my ranking half way through 2009 was outside the top 50
I've improved alot....what kind of deal will i get of dunlop?
Dunlop is extremely easy to get. I have heard of people in the 80s getting it.
I got accepted into ADNA select, it's actually a pretty decent deal and does not require you to pay monthly, you only have to buy the starter pack and the seasonal packs are optional. So I get 25% off all their stuff. And also I got 20% on both Kirshbaum and PolyStar.
ben lol try the dunlop preferred out the racquets are good i guess, and you can also get genesis 20% off
I don't want Dunlops I like my Blades. Plus I already have 3. I think I'm just going to buy a reel of Gosen OG Micro, it's supposed to be good and only $30 for a 660 foot reel. Who cares if I break it a lot it's like $1.80 a set haha.
hey...where are the pics from the babolat sponsorship????
just aplied for dunlop thru kristine.....
when should she reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
I heard she replys pretty quick. It's also the weekend so you will probably have to wait till Monday.
For Dunlop sponsorships, is the Aerogel 4D 200 Tour an option?
I really like that racquet...
Head is also pretty easy to get.
I got an offer from dunlop in 2 days and the dunlop 200 tour is an option
Thanks a lot.
i believe that guy said he wasn't in the top 80 or so before sectionally so he wouldnt be able to get that
isnt head top 25 section?
Yeah does anyone have a form?
Because they are new in the U.S., PolyStar reqs at the moment are more than reasonable. However, as slots fill up, they will be more strict.
ur not going to get it you have to be at least top 10 sectionally and your not and u also have to be at least 150 in nation
oh very true. yeah im not that good. i just wouldnt mind to get a discount.
Yea. If your in a crappy section it's easy to get.
my section ranking is in the 300s and i got poly star offer kirshbaum offer dunlop offer pro kennex offer and genesis offer so its sometimes about being confident enough to go say something to the reps or email them or so on...
lol those are the easiest sponsors to get virtually anyone can get em
My daughter is top 5, 10s top 20, 12s in our section. around 500 national 12s but she is 8 would companies take her age into consideration in regards to sponsorships even if her ranking is not there yet.
For Dunlop Sponsorships in the UK the email is:
Hope this helps....oh yeah
for polystar sponsors in the uk its:
is polystar easy to get.
i just got a sponsorship deal with dunlop!!!
yeah, im gonna try dunlop....
havent heard from polystar ......lewis?
Yeah, relatively. It's about the same as companies like Kirshbaum, Genesis, etc. Smaller ones.
I've actually heard really good things about Polystar though, and am probably going to order some Energy soon.
No i havent heard from polystar yet dhruv.
what are some of the other smaller ones
Guys, MANTIS is a good company,
still small but have some genius products, look at their reviews
in the strings forum.
i have aplyed for a sponsorship with mantis do you think i will get it.
well, if i got it then you can get it!
just talked to martin from MANTIS,
he'll put you on the same pack as me,
40% off, and he'll send some free strings to try
thanks dhruv how much do you think a big reel will be then.
Whats your section ranking or the criteria to get the sponsorship
my sectional ranking is 5 but people from 50 and above can get patial with mantis
Martin from mantis is looking for as many players as possible,
sign up and im sure he'll give you a deal!
Go for it!
What's Genesis' email? And does Mantis make good strings?
go on the strings forums and search MANITS,
Amazing quality, ridiculously good prices.
what strings from mantis do u recomend for a tournament player? also what are some good spin strings?
Try my setup which is in my signature,
Lots of spin and power, i strung it tight so it is perfect
i think 55lbs in crosses, 59lbs in the mains.
If not give the comfort poly a go, it's reviews are god,
in fact all the strings i've tried 3/4 are amazing,
its not a matter of mantis as a brand,
its a matter of which string!
as nike says "just do it"
woohoo 1100th post!
