15, maybe 4.0? They don't have junior NTRP rankings

everyone in here who is below 18 years of age does not have a NTRP rating.

what you do have is a section, possibly a nation with their respective rankings.

For the guy who said his coach told you were 4.0 to 5.0, there is such a humongous difference between the two that i cant help but unacreddit your words.

btw, are all you 13 year old 4.0 + juniors in here the same 6'2 and growing juniors from the other thread? lol

Wow, am I expected to believe that a little less than half the juniors here are 4.5+. Perhaps if we all played nationals, but otherwise no way!

well i said i am a 4.5, you are correct that we have no tournament ntrp ranking but I beat one of the pros at the club where i practice who is a 6.0 and hits a 110 mph serve (not so easy to handle at 14  )

I am 14 5'11" and am built like a baseball player (which I am, I play pitcher)

just turned 17. i dont know my ntrp ranking. i could ask my coach. if i were to self rate id say 3.0 but that number would have less accuracy than my forehand.

Well when you think about it, most people who are interested enough to post on a tennis forum are pretty serious, that's why most people here are around 4.0 to 4.5.

    We aren't normal people.

Maybe subtract .5 from everyones response and youll get a good idea of the skill levels of the people on this forum

well he is not so hard once his second serve comes around it is about a 75-80 mph extreme top spin serve so i hit it back he runs me off of the court i hit a lob over his head when he comes to net he goes back is very slow then it is like any other normal point all i have to do is make him run, he is slow and semi-out of shape. on my serve it was slice down the middle in ad court and slice out wide in deuce court. he is a 5'11" 215 lb. man he is a doubles player and claims that i won becaus it was singles. the match score was 6-7, 7-5, 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 so i am not saying it was easy at all i was playing as good as i could

Juniors in the UK have ratings, I just used my official UK rating to find out the equivalent used in America.

ok, but I am talking NTRP, and juniors just dont have one in america, and I imagine that if you take an English rating and supposedly convert it to an NTRP, then that has so many innacuracies in it that its just undoable.

not easy to cross systems like that. so the only thing that would enable you to compare yourself to other juniors in the world would be an ITF juniors rank, in which case you should be pretty darn good.

Yeah your right, it is hard to say between different countries, I bet things even vary from state state over in America with some state's having more competition than others.

A 13 year year-old at 6'2??? That sounds almost impossible... I'm 13, almost 14, and I'm barely 5'3". BTW, what would you say I would be? I'm probably top 50 in Thailand (once they update the rankings...). I'm like the 'dark horse' lurking in the draw. I'm the one capable of putting out the big names.

14, 3.5. I would be a 3.5-4.0 but I need to relax and stop slappin winners/making errors on the forehand and get my backhand volleys better (gets too far away from me)

    Better question is to ask

What ratings do other people who are not your coach and close friends say you are?

People usually over rate themselves, but under rate others. So, find out what people think of you and that is probably a safe number.

Even better would be the rating of people who you know do not like you, and you do not like them. If you could find that out, that would probably be an even safer bet.

i was practicing with my dad the other day and a 4.5 captain asked if i wanted to play for his team. i'd prolly get destroyed though. i have 4.5 strokes, but closer to 4.0 in matches i guess.

I highly doubt everyone here is 4.0+ as they're claiming. I'm a 4.0 with a 100-115 MPH serve. You are NOT a 4.0 if you cannot serve bigger than 95, I'm sorry.
