okay, well i'm 25 and i've been playing tennis for about 15 years. When i was about 15 i switched to a western grip and ever since i have had success with the grip. But, ever since i switched the grip i have had so much upper arm pain (Bicep area). i Have solved the problem by working out and buliding upper arm strength but i have to workout at least once a day:mad: or the pain comes back while i'm playing tennis. I was wondering a way i could stop the pain completely WITHOUT switching my grip, or workingout? Also, if you have any information on why this is happening PLEASE TELL ME! thanks.

    I'm no expert, but...

If it's your upper arm, it probably has more to do with your swingpath, I would guess. The day after I play a lot of tennis, my bicep area is sore. I use a reverse (wiper) finish about 50% of the time, which should be noted. Oh, and I also use a western grip.

i also thought it was my swing too. My coach used to always say it has nothing to do with my swing. He always said the only reason it could happen is if i was taking the ball late but i barely ever take the ball late!
