Federer again. He might drop a couple of sets more than last year but he will win it again imo.

Go Djoko, it might be a little early for this year but he is going to get a bag of slams.

Nadal can win if he spends a lot of time right now practicing his serve so he can get some aces & free points to win tie-breaks and crucial points.

Anyone recalls how Roddick won his only Slam?

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought it was a bit controversial that Roddick won in 2003.

Unless Roddick somehow manages to up his level a significant amount from his performance at Wimbledon he has no chance.

I voted for Roddick because he's my favorite player and I'm hoping he goes on YouTube and finds video's of himself blasting away with that forehand.

Im going with Roddick. The guy is playing great right now. I predict he'll either take the US Open or lose in the final to Federer. But also he's been my favorite player since 2001, so Ill vote for him!

    Who else???

Fed has the best chance , but I also think that Djokovic has a chance along with Nadal. My only concern for Nadal is as it always has been, that injury takes him out. He twisted his knee on one of the most forgiving surfaces there is. He plays so hard for every point and he's no light foot either, so the hard court season will do some major damage to him if he does not pace himself.

i fancy Hewitts chances. But i would like to see Hewitt v Federer sometime in the tournament.....they havent played for quite a while and last time they did it was a tight match imo 4 sets. If they do play it could tell us if Hewitt is able enough to win another major title.

Anyone who voted for Roddick is on crack. There is more chance of Paris Hilton starting a shelter for the poor, then Roddick ever winning another slam.

The trophy stay here. An American has not won the U.S Open since 2003. It cant stay where it hasnst been for awhile.

Yes, I'm on crack I admit it. Seriously who cares AO, I just said I wanted it to stay here. You make it sound like 2003 is ancient history. A-Rod made the final last year, it's not that far fetched.

Roddick wont make the final this year. I gaurantee it. If he and Federer play he will win 0 sets at most. If he and Djokovic play he will again win 1 set at most. Also if he and Nadal play he will win 1 set at most. If he and Gasquet play, he will lose again, although it might take 5 again. You can hold me to all those claims. I am completely confident in each.

I predict a Federer , Nadal final, with Fed winning in 5. The final at Wimby convinced me there is little between these two, regardless of the surface. Roddick will not make the finals, and I pedict he will be out of the top 5 by years end. The days of one shot tennis are comming to a close. The players who remain at the very top will be the well rounded versatile players, I.E, Murray, Djokovich, Gasquet, and of course Fed & Nadal.

Well, I would like to see new faces holding the trophy as it damn boring to see the same face again and again holding the same trophy every year like Wimbledon. Nothing special about it, just 5th times so what. C'mon

2003 wasn't that long ago, only 4 years. That has nothing on the last time an Englishman won Wimbledon.

Anyways, Andy has played well at USO and I think he has the potential to go as far this year as he did last year, but not necessarily win. I'd love to see Djokovic vs. Federer in the finals.

I think Roger will win again, but I would enjoy seeing him play some great matches along the way. Maybe matching up with Safin and Djokovic along the way and a potential final with Nadal (if he can master the American hard courts) would be great. At the end of the day, I take Roger winning #4.

after this USO, fed will have 12 slams and will need just 3 more to beat pete's record. and hopefully, one of those 3 he'll need will be the elusive FO so he can finally go down as the best player in the game.

If you are a Safin fan the last thing you should want is him to play Federer in the third round again. Safin needs some easy mickey mouse draws, to give him a chance to go deep in an event, which he wont if he keeps drawing Federer in the third round of events. He needs to get some wins and confidence, and he needs easy draws, much easier then Federer or Nadal in the 3rd round, in order to start doing that.

I would really like to see Novak on the top of USO.. as I'm a Serb...but i think he still is not good enough to beat Federer... but i think he has a really good chance of going into finals if he runs on Rafa again....

I would like to c Federer - Djokovic final !

These is Djokovics favorite "HARD COURT"...

While Federer is the favorite, I will go out on the limb and pick Djokovic. He will be a future slam winner barring anything unforeseen, so this might be his 1st one.
