Lucie likes hockey and hockey players. I once had a strange dream where I was in the players lounge, playing a hockey video game with her. She was winning, trash talking, and laughing, and I was getting annoyed.

In the "likes" race, Sir SentinelPressandJerkHillary was the first to scale the Mt. Everest peak of 1K thumbs up. I am his loyal Sherpa now, StringerTenzingTom, just now scaling to that lofty level.

I just came upon a quirk in the "read" from my iPhone poasts similar to the old 8) dilemma. If you type in : and D it defaults to :D!

I have been using : and D for a long time, easy to type with 2 hands. You mean you can actually type 8) in the new forum ? Wheeee !

if i am not wrong, the Sherpas are the guides, who take the others up the mountain. they carry a lot of the baggage that the climbers bring. Not sure how many of those famous climbers would have succeeded without the Sherpas.

So Sir, you are the guide, you show the way, you make it easy for the rest of us.

Nope, in the old forum an 8) would make a smiley emoticon, so whenever I had to list an eighth, eighteenth or twenty eighth seeded player in the PPL thread, I had to remember to add an apostrophe between the 8 and the ).

The last dispatch from SoBad revealed that he just enjoyed a boiled egg with some spicy salt, and was contemplating eating another one. Our expert in psychiatric profiling had assessed that his probable next action was going to the corner shop for wakame salad to enhance the nutrition and enjoyment of the second boiled egg.

It is of great concern that he has yet to return from his walk for a second egg and wakame salad. SoBad has had an antagonistic relationship with Japanese ravens for many years, and his love for bird eggs has only heightened tensions. Raven spies have been tracking him from Japan to NYC.

Actually, pretty close. I had a basic green salad already, so I mixed it with boiled eggs and potatoes and put creamy caesar dressing on the whole thing. Pretty nice and simple cold meal on a hot day.

As for karasu, I made peace with them 7 years ago, years before the metropolitan government got rid of them in the city. Crows of all kinds have been my favorite type of bird since.

Karasu were never the problem, but rather a symptom of certain urban issues that got cleaned up since.

Just coming home from work when everyone's asleep is turning into quite a bore. Celebrated my anniversary at work today though!

Finally mustered up some courage and set a date after almost a year of being out of it too, so today was a good day.

I dreamed that I was walking around Helsinki, wondering if I could find a sandwich with fresh avocados. There was an enclave of tennis courts, but they were covered with ice.

The next thing I remember, I was inside a huge bar and Ernests Gulbis told me that the courts are too fast and slippery to play. The bartenders were all beautiful woman who were extremely tall, much taller than Sharapova. One of the women gave my a giant cup of coffee and poured Jack Daniels into it.

I noticed a wall lined with old books and then a horse standing with a young Åsa Carlsson (now Svensson). She said that the indoor courts are warm and empty.

Federer sells Helsinki home he purchased in 2013 to Nadal

Federer said it was an impulse buy and he always regretted the purchase. Nadal has been renting a place all year, but decided to buy when Federer put his place on the market.

Nadal will be living next to Tiger Woods.

I could have been FINNISH before I started if I had made a turn north and east from Amsterdam instead of south and east to Switzerland one sunny August day.
