Got done watching a DVR of the Stan - Sam match, then saw the 5th set tiebreak. Awesome. Sad that tennis players don't even get mentioned in the 'best athlete' debate - that match point showed what a great athlete Verdasco is. Feel bad for Ferrer - but like the saying goes 'someone has to lose'.

I can't believe Ferrer lost 6 points in a row to end it. Especially the points where he missed rally shots into the net. Terrible play. A downer to an otherwise great match.

Didn't see much of this due to my ****ty connection, but from what I saw on ESPN a very entertaining and intense match. Probably pretty close to Verdasco-Nadal last year.

Well that's your area of research, not mine ...either way as a customer I'm disappointed in Nando just as I am with Fernando's underachievements

Not really my area of research, but just general knowledge. Nando's achievement outside tennis is not as underrated as Gilbert Lewis IMO :wink:

Perhaps some of the Verdasco haters will start to give him some respect after such a hard fought win. I dont understand the unwarranted nicknames like 'chokerdasco' when he's clearly worthy of his top 10 ranking, and for me one of the most exciting players in the mens game.
