UVa just posted a story that has three draw links (doubles, singles, and qualifying singles) for the Atlantic regional.

Really looking forward to these tournaments. I wanted to go to Cary for the Carolina regional but too many things to work on here at clemson with rock the john, soccer, volleyball and football.

Southern Regional seemed to be the only one with some Day 1 matches of substances. Rest of the regionals either haven't updated scores or didn't have any good matches.

Southern, hosted by Auburn University - teams include Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Miss State, LSU and more. Singles draw.

Day 1 Upset: #2 seed Andreas Mies (Auburn) beaten in straight sets by Mississippi State freshmen Romain Bogaerts 6-4 7-5.
Day 2 Match To See: #1 seed Nik Scholtz (Ole Miss) faces Mississippi State freshmen Stefen Vinti. Vinti only dropped 4 games in 2 matches.

No updates after Thursday action. Some results from Duke story.

Looks the draw is actually being updated here, not at the ITA page.

frustrating so many sites do not have updated draws posted. Still waiting for updates on the Central Women's draw at Tulsa and be able to see Main Draw and Doubles.

Neither draw page was updated with Friday results. No new Duke story on results, either.

UNC story has some results, some of them surprising to me (e.g. UNC players beating Duke players).

    Northwest:

7 Stanford players in the round of 32 (to be played today):
Stanford entrants still alive for tomorrow's action include Jamin Ball, Daniel Ho, Matt Kandath, John Morrissey, Nolan Paige, Maciek Romanowicz and Trey Strobel.

Anyone knows where to find full results/scores and the draw?

Any livescore for Northwest play? I couldn't get any scores from St Mary's website....

I hear that Novikov is scheduled for an MRI to figure out why his injured ankle is taking so long to heal. He hurt it at a Futures tournament about a month ago.

Where did you get all those results? The draw link does not have all the results required to put players into the QFs.

I saw Kyle play (and lose) against Brad last year during the regular season. He's a very good player, very solid with no real weakness. He could well win it, but I'd like to see one of my boys succeed to Ryan Thacher who won the singles last year. Just to keep the tradition...:)

Carolina regional doing a terrible job of updating. It's really not that hard to update a draw when results happen. absolute fail.

    Southern Regional - Singles draw.

    Quarterfinals:
Nik Scholtz (Ole Miss) def. Jordan Angus (MSU), 6-7(5), 6-2, 7-5
William Kallberg (Ole Miss) def. James Chaudry (MSU), 6-3, 6-4
Becker O'Shaughnessey (Bama) def. Malte Stropp (MSU), 6-3, 4-6, 6-4
Romain Bogaerts (MSU) def. Chris Simpson (LSU), 6-4, 6-2.

So there will be 2 Ole Miss teammates playing and a pair of freshmen. Impressive results from Bogaerts and O'Shaughnessey.

That's a long-standing problem. TT does not want people posting links or recommendations for competitors in terms of online sales. A big competitor is M-i-d-w-e-s-t Tennis, so they censor that word absolutely.

Good to see Valente of GSU doing well. Very good player, perpetually underrated.

Cotrone of FSU has vastly improved from last year. Already with some nice wins now takes Pasha to the brink.

Memphis advances a doubles team to the semis. Doubles draw updated. http://tennislink.usta.com/Tournaments/TournamentHome/Tournament.aspx?T=133269

Memphis, Louisville and the SEC schools impress. The two kids from IU are good. One is playing well despite a gimp knee. Looks like some great singles matchups today.

TopDawg posted this news earlier off the Stanford tennis web site:

Nolan Paige knocked off top-seeded Kyle McMorrow of Washington 6-4, 7-6 (4), John Morrissey took down Gonzaga's Levin Guillermo 7-6 (5), 6-0 and Matt Kandath defeated Gonzaga's Olivier Jamin 6-3, 6-3.

Of note, Stineman lost to #2 seed in 3 very tight sets.

Great to see the freshman Nolan Paige knocked off the #1 seed!

I think this year's positions are going to be something like:

    1) Kandath
    2) Morrissey
    3)Paige
    4)Stineman/Ho
    5) Romanowicz/Lin
    6) Lin/Strobel, ....

No, I'm on daddy duty most weekends helping my wife with our 2 month old so it's just watching TV for me. I thought about coming down to Memphis to watch a little but just couldn't swing it.

What is the purpose of regionals, some draws are much weaker than others.

Winners advance to the Indoor Championships. It's basically a way to get a more meritorious field, as opposed to giving a free pass to anybody who did decent last year (like the All-Americans).

Thanks, but wouldn't the finalist have rankings high enough to qualify?

    Are the indoors 32 draw?

This is maybe my favorite tournament of the year. Every region gets a chance to duke it out and it always makes for an interesting national tournament. You get to see your own region showcased and then the nationals as well. It has its merits.
