I just sent an email to the USTA Jr. Team Tennis department but havent recieved a reply yet. Can anyone fill me in on this program? Will they accept beginners like me? What activity do they do?

    THanks

Well, I think you have to find someone who'd organize the thing. If there's a nearby club, you can ask them if they are participating, and if they aren't, I guess you can ask if they're willing to start a team up. Then you just let them handle registration.

oh, well, it's a pretty fun experience. Basically, you go around with your team every Sunday, playing against other teams (usually club teams). In my league, the team who wins the most GAMES wins the match. We play 8 game prosets.

Anybody can play. They have 4 divisions: intermediate/advanced, 14 and under/over 14. Anyone can play, but most teams are formed from schools or through pros that run clinics. If you tell me what part of the country you are in, I might could point you in the right direction.

The program will set you up within ur NTRP. If you just started I would recommend going with a lower ranking maybe 2.5? Than if you are consistanly beating kids 6-1 6-0 6-3 move up a rank. Oppisite if you losing. (dont sandbag)
