What level should I be to enter a USTA tourney and not get completely crushed? I'm 17 and a self-rated strong 3.5, so i'm guessing I have a while to go...

Level 7...no, play Level 5. When I was a 3.5, I got to the finals of the first two tournaments I ever played, both level 5
