They must have changed something in the listings. The SQL database pointer number has timed out.

    Number: -2147217887
Description: Invalid character value for cast specification.
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server

Try to copy paste the link again....

    Good luck!

Good luck at districts Topaz. BTW, three of your teammates are "alumni" of one of my teams from 2-3 years ago. I've been fortunate in having good success with many players getting bumped-up. I'm happy for them, and you too!

Thanks! As you may know, availability of players for districts is tricky, but I think we're actually in good shape this year.

Thanks, I will try! Actually, I kind of feel like an 'underdog', and that usually relaxes me. We'll see, but I usually play well at districts...hopefully I can keep that going.

Yeah good luck! I'm actually pretty good friends with most of the Beach team captains (3.5 womens, 3.5 mens, and 4.5 mens).

I'll be watching for the results online.

    Topaz,

What is your teams name? and What district?

I was on one of the NOVA teams. We finished second in our flight, 2-1, and we were one tiebreak away from beating the team that did win our flight. Every time I've been down there with that team (twice as a 3.0, and once as a 3.5), we've always finished second in the flight! Aiy, aiy, aiy!

I played two matches myself...won one, lost one.

Met lots of nice people, and my opponents were all very nice as well. It wasn't like that everywhere...for one of my matches the court next to us (women's singles) was bickering so much that I thought they were going to start clawing each others' eyes out!

PS...the VA Beach teams (two of them at 3.5 womens) both did *very* well. I remember getting my butt kicked by one of those teams when I was down there as a 3.0.

Good luck next weekend! Hope you have as beautiful weather as we did!

That's too bad also. I've been on plenty of teams just like that and come a hair short of winning a flight or even the championship.

I saw that both VA Beach 3.5 womens teams are playing each other in the Semis of the Championship. I know plenty of players on both their teams. One of the ladies even thanked me on FB for hitting some singles with her. She went 4-0 this weekend in singles.

Yeah the weather was great yesterday and today. Next weekend the the forecast is calling for 90s on friday and 80s and T-storms saturday. We'll see how we do.

Where do ya'll usually have these MAC meets? Unless they're down here on the southside, I doubt it.

With the new addition to the family, it's tough to get out for tennis nowadays. Well if you guys have a MAC meetup in the 757, give me a ring.

Yup, they beat the team from our group, which we only barely lost to. I guess that makes us feel better??? LOL ARGH!!! One tiebreak, just one measly little tiebreak away from taking them out!

Of course, who knows what would have happened after that...but still...*soclose*.

Same thing happened to us. came 2nd in our flight. our team went 2-1.

the team that beat us had fresh 19 year old on the team playing singles that won state in high school.
