Looks good. Is this your first pair? I don't have this shoe but I am tempted to get a pair using NikeID. I don't think I will though unless I just happen to find an extra $165 sitting around:)

Glad I could help. If I could do one thing over, I would get the vents solid black and not do the fade. I thought the fade looked cool online, but seeing them in person I would prefer the vents just all being the same color. Oh well, I guess I can always buy another pair one day, eh? Congrats again on getting what you wanted!

Too bad, you should have return the shoes immediately, get a refund, and order a new one with black vents !
Why don't you like the faded vents by the way ?

I went with black vents no fade, thought they looked better, simply design

I didn't dislike them enough to return them, I'm just saying if I were to do it again I would not do the fade. I just think it looks better all as one color, just my opinion.

    Hey Nozak,

cool shoes! I want to order similar ones. Did you use the color studio red everywhere? Can you post some other pictures, especially from another perspective?

    Thanks
    Ben

Yeah I used red everywhere. If the midsole was red then it would have been perfect but they're still good. I will post pics later

    Wow! The green soles!

@Tyler, nice clean look. I'm tempted - but think I'll just get the white ones Fed wore at Hamburg and Gstaad.

Yo raph! You don't mind me jacking that style and adding a couple of my own unique touches? Those are clean and basic but still eye-catching.

Vote For Your Favorite, Suggest A Nice Tongue Id

    Hi all,

My son used to have the Vapor 9 Tour 2012 US open limited edition (pictured below). Unfortunately, these were stolen last weekend. I am trying to replace them for him, but it has been impossible to find them (just a couple on **** an not his size 8.5). Any suggestion in where to find them is appreciated. Thus, I am trying to buy something similar with a customized vapor 9 in orange and royal blue - his favorite colors-. I would like to see what you guys thing, which of the two models below do you like more, with the orange swoosh or with the white one? Any other design in orange and blue is welcomed. Finally, I also accept suggestion on a nice tongue id. Any suggestions? Would love to hear your input guys. Thanks.

I'm terribly sorry for that. Those Vapor 9s were a beauty. In my opinion though they shouldn't be worn for tennis. They're limited edition like the 287 editions.

About the id pair: ask your son if you're not gonna surprise him how he should design it. For the tongue id put something catchy (I would put "Young Andy" for my name).

Actually. I'm not getting those (I'm still high school) anytime soon. They just look so clean though. Not as clean as Fed's Olympic Vapors.

    Help! Unhappy with mine.

I have ordered the same size and width i usually get(perfect fit).
My pair of Vapor ID feel wider...
I can't check now but i have ordered the narrow fit(Tour Fit).
How can i see if they messed up and did use the Regular Fit(Wide...)
    I AM SO DISAPPOINTED...
    Any code under the Tongue??
    :confused::confused::confused:

Send them back (it's free) and order the same again. If they made a mistake, I doubt they'd do it twice.
Otherwise, it's possible than the "tour fit" of the iD is a bit wider then the retail.
As far as I noticed, my iD are not wider than the retail. Or maybe it's a little wider but not enough for I noticed...

    Don't know if it helps...

    Thanks

I can't access to the profile of the shoes i have ordered(i need to check if a mistake has been done with my original order).
And if i could check on the shoes(with a code) if it's Tour or Regular fit, that would be cool...

I had width issues with my pair also.

I chose tour fit because Nike told me on the phone and in email that it was the closest to the retail shoe width. When they showed up they were noticeably narrower. It turns out regular fit which they call "wider" is actually the one which more closely mimics the width of the retail version. Mine weren't a dead loss as I just have to wear them with one pair of socks instead of my usual two.

These sort of stories are not uncommon - they do them in smallish batches and the variation in them is greater than people often realise. A whole batch could be 5mm narrower or wider than the last and that's fine by Nike and most customers too. If you contact them I'm sure they'll replace them.

No more experiences with Nike ID for me, a real waste of time.

Vapor 9s (IDs included) are the best iteration since it was designed and built from the ground up unlike its previous Vapors. I have no issues with widths. A lot of my buddies made the mistake of going a size bigger in hopes of alleviating the width issue, a no-no. Just go for NB if width is the problem. But if looking pretty is the main goal, just buy it, wear it to walk around but don't play with it to avoid painful injuries.:)

Maybe when it's Australian Open season and Nike rolls out with new Vapor 9s, the color should be better. Would be buying those.

WTF Vapor9 will be grey with dark-armory-blue "fingers" and teal tint swoosh. Not as colorful as Nadal's current one but you might like them ;)

Because at the time I bought my iD the current retail one were not released yet, and I wasn't even aware of them.

But it's cool to choose your own design anyway. I like the "colorway" of the current vapor, but not the "design" : the black fingers aren't my cup of tea. I choose a full white upper instead, and a black sole. No regret, really :)
(watch a couple of pages back in this thread to see them)

About the price, yes it's a bit more expensive than retail, but again it's cool to make your own design and have a unique colorway. I could afford it some months ago, so I bought them.
