Some of my favorite racquets can be found in the Dunlop Max-series. Here are some pictures of a few of them from my collection.

    Very nice!

My personal favorite is the 300i. The German-made Black Max II, White Max, and interesting Max Competition, all from 1986 or so, are also quite good!

Thanks, retrowagen! I have a question for you. The two 800i are a little bit different from each other. The graphics are the same but the main color is different. Also, one has no rash guard/bumper while the other has a divided version, covering the two top "corners". I guess the one with the bumper is the newer one, correct?

    A little spoiler alert: ;)
I am going to post my NOS racquets in a couple of weeks, one if which is a White Max. BTW, the Max 300i on the right is also NOS.

    Hej Dino,

I'm not a Dunlop expert, but I too would guess that Dunlop added the short bumpers to the 800i after it was seen that the frame needed some help. It seems logical that that was the later version of the two.

It seems as though from time to time, Dunlop offered different colorways of the same racquet at the same time, for different markets. I have seen some light grey Max 200g dating from 1986 or 1987, which I was told were sold in Japan.

You continue to amaze us with your collection of racquets! :)

Is that a Völkl logo on the left 800i? ;-)

Dino needs the standard-sized Max 150g to complete his IMF collection. :)

If he doesn't have one I'm more than happy to give him one, gratis!

Skicka ett PM om du inte har en 150!

I have no need for mine anyway. The grip is shot and it needs to be restrung (for my liking) so I'd probably never play with it anyway. Would be fun to give it a try, but I think my 200G would be an adequate compensation :)

Bumping this to see if Dino has any interest of it!

Surely this falls into TT guidelines, it's a donation, not a sale.

    Hej retrowagen, and thanks!

Sharp eyes there, Rock! True, it is. When I had a Völkl contract, I had their logo on other racquets that I played around with. I also have SRD-tour 90's and Head PC's with Völkl on...

I do have one. Don't know why I didn't include it among the photos.

I sent you some messages, but nor sure if they made it through or not. Thanks for the offer! I do have one already, but I promise to take good care of it, should you give it to me anyway. :)

And so it has been off-loaded safely!

And also, having seen Dino's collection makes me a bit jealous. So jealous in fact, that I realize that I've been standing at the wrong bus stop and now have to wait for the next one...

No but in all seriousness he's a really cool guy and the things he had in his collection were awesome. Up until now, most of the racquets I've seen in person had only existed in pictures or text. Seeing them up close was something else.

Thanks for letting me in! :)

Rock Strongo is a true gentleman and it was a pleasure having him visit my "vault". Next time we'll have to try some of the racquets out on the court. :)

    Dino,

Do you have any idea how much these are worth right now?
