When are the satelite companies (mine is DirecTV) going to offer it. I am really depressed reading about all the great coverage. Anyone know anything about satelite companies maybe wisening up. You guys may think this is funny, but I cannot even get cable at my house! So I am resorted to hoping TTC will come to DirecTV.

hi i contacted direct tv and they said they have no plans to offer the tennis channel..they said there just isnt the demand for it....i dont think they wish to take the chance it will bomb and they dont feel there are enough avid tennis fans to make it financially worthwhile. there arent even that many cable companies carrying it from what i surmise..maybe in just the largest metro areas. gaines, if you are listening, to they offer it in HotLanta? Get rid of DirecTV and get Voom. They offer a lot of HD channels and offer the Tennis Channel.

Voom is the way to go if you can afford it.

Voom is a joke. I doubt it will last another year. The company will go out of business or be absorbed once the larger corporations start offering HD, which will be soon.

The bottom line is: enjoy Tennis Channel while you can. Its days are numbered. There simply aren't enough fans to keep it in business.

Guys, ten pin bowling, fishing and 8 ball is more marketable than tennis as a spectator sport. There simply is no lucrative market for televised tennis. ESPN don't pay to air every match so they pick what the majority will watch like it or not.

Nobadmojo, Yes TTC is in Atlanta via comcast channel 127. I think another cable provider in Atlanta is also carrying it but don't remember the name. For those interested go to the tennis channel website (www.thetennischannel.com) for more info and a petition to sign. TTC insists the only way they can get on more cable providers is for we the tennis desiring public to call and write our cable companies over and over again until they heed our demand. It worked for me in Atlanta. I have TTC and can watch all day Saturday at both Indian Wells and Miami. Not restricted to only Roddick, Agassi and the Williams duo. Nice :D
