Wondering what it will actually be called (n2, n4, nVenus) when they finally get around to putting it out.

Anyone know of any decent pictures of the frame?

Yeah, it will be called the n4. The Wilson site has an article on Serena winning the Australian Open, and it talks about Venus' racquet a little bit.

Do you guys notice that in her matches sometimes she has a black bumperguard (like she did against Sharapova today) and sometimes she has a white bumperguard (like she had against Serena).

Nope, it's always been black. That picture was taken when she was playing Serena.

I beg to differ. This is her match picture while she was playing Serena.

I believe the black bumperguard frame is the prototype/paint job. I think they took an n5 mold and modded the product for her, then the made some limited production and therefore the white guard is the newer frame.

Just my guess based on my experience in the industry.

Yup, you're right. I watched her matches with Serena and Sharapova, and you're right. I don't know why though. Maybe Wilson is seeing which one looks better to see which kind will be sold to the public??

Well, she couldn't be using the N5, because the n5 has Triad technology, whereas her racquet doesn't have anything Triad. It might be the n6 with a paintjob to look like the n4, but why would Wilson want her to advertise a new racquet when she's using a new racquet already?

Well, if you look at the Wilson commercial she is using the N5(I believe) so she might be using an N4 with some of the N5 specs or something.

My apologies, I meant prototype made from n6 110 mold. You guys were correct. Either way,all the other nCodes have matte finishes, hers has a lacquer/gloss finish.

Well, then it still wouldn't be an n5. It would be a customized n4 OS.

just got an email from Wilson, showing the n4...

Venus' frame is way too shiny and darker blue.

n4 in the email has the seperate head/throat. Venus' doesn't.

Not really. You said that she could be using the n4 with some n5 specs. Really, there not n5 specs, they're just customized specs that she likes.

Well still, if they are the same things as on the N5 then it is still kinda N5 specs just on an N4.
