Very light and very stable shoes

    Nike Vapor III. They have a really low to the ground feel, which to me feels more stable, plus the cut is a little higher than most low top shoes, so there's more ankle support. Looking at the Babolat Team Roddick, they seem really stable as well and suprisingly lighter than the Vapor III.

    doesn't stable refer to...

    the stiffness of the sole? confused?

    yonex shoes are very light and stable. so are asics shoes. durability suffers a little bit but if you are looking for something not a clunky as the barricade IV then you should be ok.
