all arms or what?
His 7.0 rating isn't NTRP. He's from France and their rating system is different. Old video, already been posted and discussed on here and the owner of that video came on TT to explain as well.
I don't understand how you can arm the ball when you have your whole body moving forwards.
On top of what has already been said, the guy in the video played mid-level DI tennis.
notice how he stops his momentum by spinning around and stopping on the right foot
my bad...this guy rhs impressed davai...not suprised that like his technique......its all arm,imo....there is a disconnet between arm and body
Want to see some "all arm" swings? Go watch some women's 2.0/2.5 league some time.
This guy will beat 95% of everyone here 6-0 6-0 including me
This dude would beat 99% of players here. Most people are too harsh here when videos of legitimately good players post videos.
NTRP = French NTRP / 2 = 7.0 / 2 = 3.5 - .5 (for SoCal Vietnamese) = 3.0 (all arms)
More like 100%.
OP, this is a self-promoted thread. are you in the video?
I am pretty ok with my topspin but I never tell anyone my level is. I knew lots of people are better than I am. I am playing tennis for fun only...
not a 100%
I know at least 5 people here that would walk over this guy, and had a pleasure to hit with 2 of them...
he has strange technique...very compact....is it a more modern technique to follow through on the right leg like he does? Or is it a flawed? He has good footwork though imo...
