    Wow. I never knew such a video existed, I have always read about this match and getting to see some of it, albeit about 20 seconds where the camera is at an angle where you can see them both, is great. Lenglen was truly a graceful mover, factoring in the long skirt and the rest of the clothes she moved with relative ease, least it looked like she did in the clip. You definitely get an appreciation for this era of tennis, which some people always write off. Great find, thanks for posting this.

    I liked the slo-mo of the forehands. Not much different than today's open stance western grips, except flatter (like Dementieva?). The backhands were another matter entirely, though - much more of a short block swing. They were pretty quick around the court.

    I've seen this on youtibe already but there isn't really all that much match play to look at unfortunately and because of the speed of the film it is difficult to really know how quick the women really were and how hard they hit the ball.
