Any idea where I might get those transparent vinyl bags pros have? My overgrips are getting coloured inside my bag somehow, I would like to protect them.

You mean poly bags? Your local stringer should have them.:)

Barring getting those Bags one tip is to use Saran Wrap over your newly installed Grips/Overgrips before using them.

    Hope that helps.

You can buy black very soft and durable, but still thin covers here:

I have them on all my rackets to protect my costly Babolat natural gut strings, and they work great and you can take the racket out of the bag with great ease - even though you have stuffed your tennis bag with racquets, because of these slippery protective thin bags.

Your local tennis shop will have endless supply of plastic bags since every racquet company uses them when shipping.

I carry 7-8 racquets in my Wilson Super Six bag - they scratch against each other and I use Babolat natural gut strings and want to protect these strings, the best way I can. These small protective cases protects my strings, so when I take one racquet out of my bag it won't accidentally scratch a nat gut string on one of my other racquets - you get the idea
