Volkl Cyclone Tour as Cross

OP Initial Question

CT works well as a cross string & provides adequate spin potential when paired w a non-Poly main string (I believe this was your original inquiry) -- I currently have one of my Blade 16x19 strung w Tecnifibre S-Gut mains / CT crosses

This is NOT CLOSE to the best spin potential setup, but does soften the stringbed, pockets the ball a little better, and offers a different feel/ playability/ change of pace compared to a full poly setup

There are too many specific strings to mention, but a full Poly hybrid w textured mains / smooth crosses (ideally thinner than mains) creates the best spin potential setup w all other factors being equal (frame, swing, etc)............
I string full Poly hybrids almost exclusively, and have play tested countless strings/ combinations, and will not fit a player in a setup I cannot personally vouch for

Use any textured main you prefer, but I have a clear preference for smooth crosses --- my go-to list SPPP 1.18/ Cyber Flash 1.25 1.20/ Cyber Blue 1.25 1.20/ PolyStar Energy (black) 1.20 ----- all < $100 a reel

Good luck

Perhaps go with smooth crosses like PTP or PT Air with the CT mains, these two Yonex strings hold tension better than CT as well.
I've used these combinations for quite some time now; I'm also using Yonex PT Rev mains with the above crosses, as the tension loss is much less with Rev than with CT. (And I really like Purple!)

I did babolat hurricane tour mains and cyclone tour crosses. The results were not great. They both play better on their own
