Lots of threads pertaining to Volkl strings these days... Anyways, has anyone tried this out??? I just bought some 18g of this string for hybrid jobs. :)

It's a very nice multi string...lively and crisp w. great pocketing. I would give this one a prestretch. Not the most durable. stick a stringsaver in whenever you detect a fray point.

Here is the USRSA's 2000 playtest result from around the time this string came out: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Reviews/VPF16/VPF16Review.html

The review even back then when there wasn't the competition there is now wasn't very strong. In a comparative test now, it wouldn't do very well then. In my view, this string's playability is only average; comfort is its strong suit, if there is one.

That, and the fact it is out in an 18 gauge.

^^^ Eww... The 4.5+ players hated this string, which is where I am at. Hopefully, this will give me a little softer feel in my hybrid setup. :-/
