I have ordered these strings from TW(17g) and eager to try them out on my new blade 98(18x20) racket. Has anyone had experience with it? It is basically volkl cyclone and power fiber II combo.

I want to give this a try also. I've used power fiber II and cyclone separately before and liked the playability of both. The Cyclone was a bit too stiff for me as a full bed so the hybrid may be just right. Power fiber II played quite well for me and I would call it a slightly stiffer multi. Some folks have dissed it on TTW but my experience was that I played best with this than any other multi except RIP 17. I tend to not like the softer multis as I lose too much control.

I tried this on my blade 98 and did not like it. Maybe I am used to playing 18g for a while that's causing me to feel this way. If you purchase cyclone 18 and power fiber 18 separately and install it in a hybrid, it will feel good. Right now, the 17g is not working for me. If you have a racket that has a open string pattern, it might work. Again, nothing wrong with the string in general.

Power Fibre II is an excellent cross with a poly main. I did not care too much for it in a full setup but in a hybrid, I really cannot come up with any complaints. Softens the stringbed. gives good power, and durability was better than average.

TW is play testing the strings at the moment. That's what Andy said on the men's vlog.
