I'm thinking some 17/18 gauge poly might be the best option.

Does anyone have experience with this set up and what tension is best?

I've tried SPPP, but it feels dead after a week and I can't break it. So I just cut it out which isn't cost effective.

Polyfibre is getting rave reviews, is this the answer.

    I'm a 5.0 all-courter.

The VE mid is very low powered....im using gut mains/syn gut crosses, full syn gut or multi @ around 53lbs....I find the lively strings go well with the low powered frame. Ive tried full poly but found no pop or power..

I have Cyber flash 17 @ 58 and love it. Big spin, soft for a poly, and durable.

i posted this in another thread.

" i like mine strung at 55 with multis. also at 50 with SPPP 1.18 hybrid. "

like nickb posted - this is a low powered racquet and i've been selecting strings/string combos with a bit more pop. btw - i usually hybrid the mains (multi, poly, etc) with syn gut crosses.

I strung mine with Kirshbaum comp at 57, and it felt very boardy for the first 3-4 hrs of play. Now, it´s a bit looser and I like it much better. However, I agree with what has been said before, a lower tension for bring some power to this low powered frame. I am thinking of trying the same strings at 52-53. Any one tried that? BTW, I highly recommend the comp. strings, it´s one very soft poly with tons of control and very durable!
