    I have three.

    Cross Strings

Crisp and responsive stringbed: Gosen OG Sheep Micro
Soft and good feel stringbed: Forten Sweet

    Full Bed

    Pro Supex Spiral Flex (Black)

That's just my opinion, but I don't think you can do better than spiral flex as your full bed syn gut. :)

Pv, what would you cross vs team with, syn gut as cross? I tried forten, og sheep, and prince orig., and prince with duraflex.

Depends, are you trying to make it seem like a full gut of VS, or do you want to add an extra quality to the VS?

Mantis Comfort Synthetic is technically a multifilament. I think you are asking about solid core synthetics so I'll chime in with Gamma synthetic gut (the non WearGuard version).

I used GSG for YEARS haha. Just reading that brings back memories. I used that exclusively in 18g until I found NRG2 during mid high school :)

It is better than PSG for a cheap syn gut.

Just stupid that way. I'm after a vs/syn gut cross, that I can restring the cheap cross, without cutting out the gut, and have it feel fresh and crisp, with great feel/power each time, with emphasis on serving/volleying/ h22 360g.

Spiral Flex or OG Sheep Micro in that case, IMO :)

I think so. The Gosen felt very stiff to me but since kiteboard is looking for a VS gut cross, stiffer may actually work well.

OK. I strung up a set of vs team/pro supex spiral syn gut on a pt57a, 360g, weighted like Joker does his frames. The og micro vs team combo was awesome control.

I use Forten Sweet 16 in the crosses @52 with Topspin Cyber Flash 16 in mains @56. The forten breaks in two weeks. I like the feel though. What is a more durable syn. gut?

    Thanx

It's not one of your cheaper syn guts, but I've grown to really like KLiP's Scorcher. Very unique feel - unlike any other I've tried (Sweet 17, OGSM, PSG, Spiral Flex, Alpha Viper, Mantis Power Syn).

I really like Pro Supex FT Ruff. Nice and crisp. Really like the power, control, and especially tension control. But breaks pretty fast.

Really not a Sweet and OG fan. For me, it moved around too much and tension lost was noticable.

Good to hear about FT Ruff. I picked up a reel really cheap, but I haven't gotten around to trying it.

Strings up really nicely. IMO, the string is alittle more brittle than other Syn Gut's. Gives good feel too. Probably makes a good cross to a soft co-poly.

Spiral Flex is nice! Great durability for a $5 string. Also, I used it a cross to match it up to a co-poly.

What is the feel like in a full bed of Spiral Flex? I have never tried it. I usually lean towards Wilson Stamina as my cross or PSG.

Ashaway's 17 gauge synthetic gut is my favorite. A nice mix between the crispness of Gosen and the softness of Gamma.
