If I'm looking for a bit more stability in the racket head. how should I use my lead tape? Would I put 2 oz at 12:00 and either 1 or 1.5 oz at 9 and 3?

Is there any disadvantage to not putting tape at say 10 and 2? Thank you.

For stability, 9 and 3 for sure!

10 and 2 will give you the best of both worlds: power and control.

What about putting one gram at 9,10, 12, 2 and 3? Five places with one gram each? I really don't want to add more than 5 grams. I am looking for a bit more pop--not that much though. Thanks.

what frame? The balance matters a bunch.

I do my head light Wilson ncode6.1 90's at 3 & 9 like I did the HPS6.1 but I used to do my wife's head heavier babolat PD110 os evenly at 10, 2, 3, 9, 4, 7 and more at throat with 1" pieces of tape balanced with a heavier leather grip before she switched to PD+100 and this made a very nice stable powerful OS stick that was still very manueverable until she was able to handle the mid.

The wilson 6.0 95 guys swear by 10 & 2 to power up the upper hoop on this frame and the headlight balance allows this.

I try not to get psycho but the lead seems to always improve the frames, even placed wrong, it just makes you prepare earlier until you get it in the right spot.

You know the rule: the sweet spot follows the lead tape.

Don't forget to balance it with a heavier grip or tape on the handle if the frame isn't headlight already.

    good luck.

I've been using the NXG MP and have also used the Diablo MP. The Diablo is 10 points HL, which I like. I'm just looking for a bit more stability and slightly more pop.

Lead's cheap. Lead at the 12 actually pulls the sweet spot up but also narrows it, I understand. Try the 3 and 9 or perhaps just a little above that if you tend to hit high on the racquet face like most people. Start with 3 grams or so on each side.
