I've dealt with him a number of times, both in person (used to live close to his shop) and through the mail. He's a pretty active seller on the big auction site, and typically asks top dollar for his frames. You won't get any bargains, but he's honest and has always delivered for me.

There is a summersky-2008 seller on the bay, selling tennis racquets. I wonder if it is the same guy.

I am sure it is the same person. I don't care for the guy because he buys stuff cheap under different names and them jacks the price up to resell. As a collector I don't care for this because there are others out there that wish to actually 'own' the racquet instead of placing it at an overpriced buy it now auction. I have not and never will buy a racquet from this guy.

I understand the guy's trying to run a business and make a profit......but his prices are way too high.

I guess the people that must buy from him are people that are looking for the exact frame or those that are unfamiliar with other places for deals.

My current favorite is the new, unused Prince CTS Thunderstick 110 in 4 5/8 gripsize that he's got listed at BIN $199 plus shipping.

That racket came from an auction that I was watching. He was the only bidder and got the frame for $25. I recognized the item when he posted it about a week after the previous auction ended.

    800% markup is kinda steep.

Player, I've got an original Prince Pro racquet. 4-1/2, rated @ 7/10. I'll let it go for $69.99 shipped. This is the original classic black aluminum frame with the black plastic throat piece. Now I know you can find these on the auction site for under $15, but you can get top dollar for mine. You see, it's strung with Wilson Hammertech 18 ga. You can't get this string anymore. You can't find it anywhere yet you'll have it when you purchase my racquet. Don't pass up this chance to own a classic string, this kind of offer may never happen again.

    Super Deal!

How much would you pay for a Boris Becker Super made by Puma? Yeah, the strings are somewhat old, but I just installed a brand new rubber band dampener. I also replaced the 4 1/2 grip with a Wilson Cushion Pro, which has a super soft feel and accented bevels for way better control and less slipping in your hand. This racquet also uses the PCS power control system to increase or shorten the length of the racquet, and I have the original plastic key that activates the screw!

    But wait, there's more!

Since the frame is worn down through the paint, I very carefully placed matching red tape over the damaged areas, and now it looks brand new! I'll even throw in the rest of the red tape for free! Now how much would you pay?

Oh, I should mention there are 2 "tiny" cracks on one side of the frame. Starter cracks really, because if you hit only on the good side, it should be no problem at all.

This racquet will look great on the court, or just hanging on your wall. Don't miss out on your chance to own this "unique" collectors piece of tennis memorabilia. You can have it today only for the ridiculously low price of $49.99 (wayyy under your $70.00 limit) which also includes free shipping!!! But don't delay. If you order right now, I'll also include the original PUMA racquet cover which is see-through on one side!

So, to review: you get the racquet, strings, rubber band, new grip, red roll of tape, PCS key, AND the see-through cover. How can you say no to such a "super" deal??

Tenny, I fear that you may scare the OP off by describing the cracks in your racquet. But fear not!! I'm here tohelp. All you need to do is drill stop holes at each end of the cracks. since you have two cracks, you'll only need to drill 4 holes.

Now I'm gonna let you in a little secret (but absolutely NOBODY else can ever find this out ok? ) By drilling those holes, you will now have what we in the guitar playing community call "A Reliced racquet" This means you can easily get $70 for it maybe even more. Look at what Fender Guitars did with their "Road Worn" guitars. And a reliced Gibson Les Paul goes for thousands of dollars. Trust me on this - making something look as old, beat up and abused as possible is the latest craze. There's no reason why you shouldn't cash in on it.

BTW - Leave those "Relic" strings on it, don't want to devalue the racquet.
