The college search feature at www.collegeboard.org has been recommended here in the past for those who want to find which schools have a men's (or women's) tennis team and a certain academic major. I find it to be worse than worthless, a complete waste of time. I have sent feedback to them with several example of the incorrect information in their database.

For example, schools that have no men's tennis team show up in searches that required a men's tennis team, e.g. North Dakota State University, Miami of Ohio, and the University of Ohio. Also, every branch campus of Penn State University shows up for every search that includes Penn State in the results. Sorry, but I don't think you can major in Classics while playing men's tennis at every single branch campus spread throughout the state.

When searching for the combination of 4-year/public/Classics major/men's tennis, the University of Alabama does NOT show up, even though it fits all of these criteria.

If they get their act together and fix this, I will post again. But it would be dangerous to narrow down schools based on a totally broken search program.
