    Amen, I can see baseline slugging all year round! Just make it a LITTLE quicker, use SLIGHTLY lighter balls, and it'd be perfect.

    Indeed,I dont know why people dont bring it up.I love Nadal's effort and fight but in wonder what would happened if this grass was playing like 2003,2004, 2005.The grass has gotten slower this year.

    But then again, I remember those "serve and done" days of tennis at Wimby - that was boring a bit as well. Perhaps thats why some people prefer soft hitting and meaningless rallies in women's matches - not me though. I would rather watch hard court matches for men.

    But wimbledon was wimbledon...now is A tournament like the other...

    The racquets and strings aren't the same, either. The entire game is moving toward the baseline. Wimbledon tried to neuter the service ace with slow high bouncing grass/soil and slow balls, but the fundamental problem is the fact that we're not using wood racquets any more.
