Was the Head Radical (bumblebee) ever made in the USA?

    Was there ever a US made version of the Head Radical Tour OS?

    No.

    The Original Radical Trisys 260 (Bumble Bee) from 1993-1995 was made in Austria. The later SMU and the Agassi L.E. Radical were made in China.

    I would guess that once Head was no longer owned by AMF, US production would have ended soon after.

    AMF sold HEAD to Austrian Tobacco in 1986 and HEAD consolidated all production of tennis racquets to Austria in 1988.

    During the AMF days the composite tennis racquets (Arthur Ashe Competition, XRC, Vilas, and a like) that were for the North American market were made in Boulder, Colorado, U.S.A. The composite racquets for the European Market were made in Austria. All of the Aluminum racquet were made in the U.S.A. It was like there were two different companies.
