I like wearing tank top when playing tennis. It's pretty hot these days and they dissipate heat better than any of the "tennis shirts". I'm pretty new to tennis though. I wonder why nobody else wear tank tops other than a few of my friends. Oh, well, sometimes I don't even wear any shirts. lol.

They actually don't "dissipate" much of anything. Travel through the desert sometime and you're unlikely to see many people running around topless. You are better protected from overheating by wearing light white clothing. Tennis is also a sport of some tradition, and clubs seem to prefer to maintain a certain decorum, lest the place start to look like an Armenian brothel.

I play with sleeveless shirts just to hit around in. However, I wouldn't dream of playing in anything besides a polo shirt for a match or anytime I'd be at a club.

Sleeveless shirts are less restricting when they are soaked in sweat.
