    Gonzales playing roddick:
    so far

1)falling over, twice, just standing around and then falliong on his ass

    2) drops his racquet, just standing there and racquet drops out of his hand

    3) Hit lineswoman in the face with his racquet

    All in one set

bit like the AO final where he was picking insects up off the court and stuff.

Why do all these weird things always happen to him?

BTW, I love the word 'shenanigans'

Yeah, He was drugged that's it! He probably just "let his hair down" abit too much with the win over Federer.

Watched the entire match and this did not happen. Its true on one point he ran into a lineswoman because he was scrambling to get a ball Roddick obliterated but Gonzo did not hit her in the face with his racquet. Gonzo also severly apologized and made sure she was ok. The lineswoman brushed it off and smiled also.

You are trying to make something out of nothing and not even stating the facts.

In fact all of the things you said Gonzo was doing were blown out of proportion. He fell when losing his balance because he was trying to change directions very quickly. All of these things happened in the first 3 games of the match before it was clear he was going to loose as well so dont make it seem like Gonzo only did these things because he was losing.

Gonzo played like crap and that is a fact but he did not pull any stunts or shenanigans.

Man why are people so quick to start bashing players for no reason?!!!!

It was pretty odd that he fell several times in a short period of time for no apparent reason. I got the feeling that maybe he wasn't feeling well and that his equilibrium was being affected...may he got some bad sushi.....???
Then again, could have been a major hangover from celebrating his last huge win! Hope he's ok though...I enjoy watching him play.

Agreed that he didnt look exactly right and maybe it was a hangover or something like that. I just dont think he was purposly doing those thing because he was losing like the OP implied.

Yeah that would be it. Maybe Chinese people don't like Chinese food anymore and they now all eat Japanese sushi!;)

    Priceless.......

In the after match interveiw he said something about his was exhausted from the federer match that he felt weak at the feet and losing balance etc. Shows what you had to lose in order to beat federer;)

btw about the sushi comment, last time I heard MC is held in Shanghai not Tokyo:p

Maybe, he is actually injured. During the Davydenko match, the commentators mentioned something about a prior back/knee injury, dating back to the Paris Masters.

After watching that South Park episode, I will never again be able to hear the word 'shenanigans' without laughing.
