I was contacting somebody on craigslist to purchase two older racquets (5 bucks each, why not?). She quoted me 10 bucks for the rackets, and then proceeded to tell me that she'd need to check how much it'd cost to ship. Well, it turns out she need 4 bucks for the priority mail box, 3 bucks for tape, and 8 bucks for the shipping cost. Then, she proceeds to tell me that I need to send her an additional 5 bucks to cover the cost of her driving the rackets to the post office. Making my shipping and handling charge... 20 bucks!!! And, by the way, she lives about 30-40 miles from me!

I just bought something from a guy off craigslist and drove 100miles to meet the guy.

spend the hour and a half and meet the lady. or tell her you dont want the rackets.

send her the picture in your avatar. Then say... proceed... to the next buyer.

    This

I mean, 40 (20 if you can meet halfway) miles will take you like 35-45 minutes driving

There's no word in the English language to adequately describe someone charging you 3 bucks for tape: see "chutzpah" in a yiddish dictionnary. I would ask that the roll of tape be shipped to you with the racquets, since you're apparently paying for the whole roll rather than the 10 inches needed to close the box.

Priority boxes are free. Have you never mailed anything, or is this just some weird trolling?

Retarded...just go meet her half way, 20miles is like 30 minutes and gas won't be bad those prices are just rediculous. You can tell she isn't a business lady and that basically what craigslist is, stupid people trying to sell stuff cause they can't use something more professional like ****.
