I have the 1.10 and do not like it. I cannot stop hearing people rave about the 1.18 and 1.23. What do you feel is the best gauge for this string, because I cannot stand it in 1.10 gauge because it feels like plastic and doesn't actually generate that much spin. Thanks!

It generates more than any other gauge of msv. The 1.18 is less prone to going long, but only for a short time. The 1.27 is more durable, but loses its nubs and does not produce as much as the thinner gauges. Blue gear is a better spin string.

I know, I already own blue gear. I'm asking specifically for the Hex since I string for people with it and only have the 1.10, and if there's a better gauge, I'll swap it out.

I've tried the 1.10, 1.18, and 1.27. The 1.18 has a good medium, of spin, and control, but has to be strung right or it doesn't feel right.

I like both the 1.18 and 1.23 and prefer to hybrid (mix) it as crosses and mains respectively. Great durability and playability, especially at lower tensions like 50 lbs.

I like the 1.18. for me it is the best of both worlds when it comes to spin and durability.

1.10 was clearly the best IMO, more lively, better feel and certainly more spin!. I really dont understand when ppl say that it didnt produce that much spin, I get more spin out of it than any other textured poly but only the first couple of hours.
