I got dizzy and gave up trying to watch that crap.

"Maybe you shouldn't bring me every little piece of trash you happen to find"

    - first one to guess the source of the quote gets absolutely nothing.
In fact I can congratulate you in advance - here you go - your well deserved nothing.

haha 2.5 not any better! (On a realistic note: These guys both looked to be in the 6.0 range. Hard to tell on clay.)

uhh no the serves are going about 130. It's an odd angle and it looks like serves on TV. Thats why ppl are always like ohh dang I have a 140 MPH serve. It's hard to judge, you can only believe what they say. And on top of that, it does look like around 130.

Yeah I thought they were 130 or near enough. I've watched Aus Open players up close, mostly Sam Querrey practice serve and he does about that.

Bit inconsistent for Clay tennis though...

Yea, I agree with that. I was thinking they look more like hardcourt players, playing a clay tourney.

Absolutely no way that serve is 130 mph. I would guess about 100 -105 at most! And, there's no way these guys are actually making money at tennis. They may claim to be pro, but they are not 6.0+...guaranteed.

It didn't look like 130 but neither do any of the pros' serves on TV but still I don't think the swing on that guys serve was fast enough to create a 130 mph serve (yes I know fast swing speed on a serve isn't the important thing, but it still matters somewhat).

Ok, explain what you mean in your post. I've seen 5.0 tennis players that are far better than both of these in this video. Their serves are nothing close to 130 mph (totally obvious), so what are you talking about. What do I need to know before stuff comes flying out my butt? I've been playing tennis plenty long enough to know that these guys couldn't compete at the 6.0 level (and be successful). C'mon buddy, let's see your reason for downing my opinion...it is, of course, an opinion. I am entitled to that...right?

    Loved the music :p

It's alot easier to judge speed in person, but I think it's safe to say that neither of those guys were serving 130mph. During the match play I saw a couple of pretty good serves that might have been in the 120mph range, but other than that it was pretty standard fare. Nice serves, but not 130mph.

How do you guys find all these random videos??

Maybe I'm watching the wrong video (I saw the one that is 4 minutes), but how can anyone even *ATTEMPT* to guess the serve speed when you can't even see the ball? And don't say I can't see the ball because it is traveling so fast. I can't see the ball when they are casually hitting back and forth.

    Secondly that camera guys SUCKS!!!

Are you sure that's not you in the video and that's why you're defending it? How can you guys think that is 130mph????

How can you even guess that high? You can barely see the ball. On top of that on one of the titles he says they're "professionals...kinda." What the hell does that mean?

I think the father was an upcoming junior. He did a couple challenger events and Future events in the late 80s earlier 90's for clay. He serves could be 130 but in the video I believe those serve to be closer to 115 to 125 mph. By definition, then both of them are at least in the 5.0 range. My guess the father would 5.5. doing some open tournaments on clay.

Yup, you can say what you want to no prob. And for everyone who doesn't think that is up in the 130s, watch a pro match on tv, those things are bombing, and it doesn't look too fast. The angle and how far the camera is away makes it look less fast. But I am sure most people who have seen Roddick serve, or have been down on the court with him practicing would agree that his serve looks like a train coming at you, but on tv it looks normal. Pro's make it look easy. And drakulie, I agree with you to some extent, so we would just have to believe the people in the video.

So you're using your judgment based on comparing low quality footage to the much clearer T.V. footage and you think your guess can get anywhere near his mph, you're a better man than I then.
