Wow, Simon is big freaking man, look at that grip size, a real man's racket. I think Monfils uses 4 5/8 as well.

Here, you can see that is is not the retail stick...not the grommets, but the strinc channel ending that is a typical PT57A type -- longer than on the retail...

    Thank you for your pictures.

And I still don't understand it right. You mean your marked black point near "D" of silver "HEAD" logo, right? This point is at 7th ( not 10th) cross string from the top ( or about 9.30 o'clock)- right?. And from this 7th cross from the top ( or about 9.30 o'clock ) lead is going UP to about 2.30 o'clock or down 10 cross strings to about 8.30 o'clock?

Can you see how many layers of the lead is there ? ( usually they put more than one layer, 1+2 or 2+2 or 2+3 etc..)

Can you also post weight and balance? Thanks.

Those types of stickers are then what Haed now use on their newer pro stocks it seems. My TGK 238.4 and TGK 238.5 also have that sticker type. My older TGK 238.1 has the old stencil on the throat as does my PT57as. New trend from Head.

    Made for just this occasion:

Print. Get a dowel or similar tube about 1/2" (12.7mm) in diameter. Follow the directions. And borrow a small postal scale, if possible. A digital scale that reads in 0.01 grams is optimal, but I'm sure the members will accept approximate values. :)

OK, so lead is from top of the head ( 12 o'clock) 10 cross strings to the left and 10 to the right. Thanks.

I don't want to bother you, but if you would like to help us, it's not very difficult to measure it. Please see the picture. When racquet is balanced on pencil or something like this, just measure how many centimetres is black mark from the end of the racquet ( grip end). His racquet should be about 32cm.

And when I didn't have digital scale for weight measurements, I just gone to nearest supermarket and put racquet on digital scale in veggie department.. :)

If you will measure it sometimes in the future, please post it here, I would like to make exact copy of Simon's setup. Thank you.

    Cool find!

Any chance that you could weigh the Simon racquet? Maybe check the balance and swingweight? Thanks in advance if you are able to!

Edit: Sorry, I should have read page 2 before posting, looks like others have asked before me already! :)

Might as well be of some use, Here is a link on how to get a swingweight measurement once you have the weight and balance: http://twu.tennis-warehouse.com/learning_center/howto_swingweight.php then input the results into the calculator on this site: http://twu.tennis-warehouse.com/learning_center/customization.php

btw its actually easy to calculate a somewhat right balancepoint.

just put ur racket on a table n move it till it would fall from the table thats the balancepoint just measure it

but also measure the racket length is it normal 68,5cm/27inches? or longer?

Nice bit of work there, R.

The problem I'm having though is that it doesn't print to the correct scale. On the printout, 1" = 1 and 1/16ths.

    Any ideas?

I think that Simon's frame is PT57A, but frame on this picture is mine and code is TGK 238.4 ( it was posted only to show how to measure balance)

Sorry. REALLY LATE. I was just looking for the post I made to get the address of the image. No great idea without getting into printing problems I've seen people in the past have with various items (not related to this balance board label). I did measure my printout to be sure that the inches and cm were correct with a ruler. I know it's accurate at my end. Sorry. Wish I could help. I tried to make a size that wouldn't get automatically resized by graphics programs to make it fit on certain papers and so forth.

Well weight it! You must know someone with a kitchen scale? Or ask a post office to do it!

My guess from when I held it is 345 grams and 325mm balance.

If any one is confused about the lead placement, it is at 12 but all in one layer so it extends as far round as it needs to given the weight needed to be added.

    Weigh it!

Somewhere else here around Simmon's racket was discribed as 227grams and 310mm UNSTRUNG. So your guess could be close to reality :)
