something's just not right about that Bye guy. He obviously has relentless perseverance, with only one match win in his 14,000 match career, but i'm thinking there's some corruption in the ATP that allows him to keep receiving wild card entries into all the tournaments. It doesn't seem fair to all the other pros who work hard to earn their spot in main draw or have to battle in qualies.. while Bye keeps getting these free passes. i'll be keeping a close eye on him and this corruption in the ATP

Perfect example. If he can only win one match out of 14,000 at the Pro Level, that shows you how tough it is these days.

I'm beginning to re-think this whole thing. At least until Nadal is gone. The guy seems very tough to beat on clay.

When it matters too much to his opponent. Some stud needs to get poleaxed by him in Rome so when they rematch at RG they really don't give a shiit and play loosy goosie. We need a Sod doppelgänger !

What if both players in the final just retire at exactly the same time and then refuse to play?

What will happen when a multiple grand slam champion is found to be doping? What will happen to all those titles?

Winner was stripped of the Tour De France title from 1999-2006. No one won

No, Lance won. It may no longer be recognized by any "authoritative body" but he still won.

What if they did? Can statistical modeling still apply if control over the outcome (the act or "decision" to not play) can be controlled such that it leaves "no chance" for any other outcome?

I am told Ralph is already the "social victor" of AO, so all these silly scenarios :D don't really matter. Last year, he was moral victor.

Ralphie will always be the backup winner in case no won wins.:)
