When ever I use multifilaments I know it is best to pre-stretch the string, the time I didn't it lost is tension much to quickly. Normally I just loop the string around something and pull, but there must be an easier way. Give me any tips or ideas for pre-stretching my string.

Wrapping the string around a door knob or post and pulling on the string with a block of wood or pliers is as good a method as any. The key is to try to use a consistent amount of force for the same amount of time. Some electronic machines have a prestretch mode on them.
