Some like syn gut, like prince or forten or og micro. Some like vs team, or pacific classic. Some like blackcode or redcode or alu power.

God don't let that feline get involved in this discussion or we'll be here forever!

I also like either PSGD 18, X-1 in 17 or 18 and VS Team strung high.

Lots of folks like prince syn gut with duraflex. X1 or vs team would be good crosses.

I tried many multis and I would say X1 followed by NXT Tour.

I always preferred crisp over spin. But I found that if I restrung vs team 17g mains, crosses cut out only, that I could refurbish the string job back to original.

So what is crisper, og, psgd, alu power rough, blackcode, etc.? There is no crisp rating anywhere, due to its feel quotient.

Funny how people say Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex is crispy. I remember when it first came out and I tried it, to me it felt plasticky and muted. Has it changed over the years???? Maybe my definition of crispy is different, but I've always considered Prince Synthetic Gut Original to be the standard of crispy feeling because that's what I started playing with.

Haha, yeah I thought so. I often read how people think PSGD is crispy, but I guess to those people, plasticky feeling to them is their definition of crispy.

Is that the one that was sent out to people who signed up for the Wilson demo a while back? If so, I would have to agree that it is one of the crsipest strings coming to market that hardly moved on the string bed. It had great control but it was way too stiff compared to X1.

Yeah Red 17 is Red Alert.

You really thought it had minimal movement?

It had wild movement even at 62.

    Just like X1.

I had it strung up on a KPS 88 at 55lbs and it didn't move as much as X1 did at 55lbs. For me, it provided great control, less power and stiffer than X1.

I did a playtest on the Adrenaline, HC Pro, Rad and got a demo set of the NXT Control.. which was not a playtest.. it seems a mass sample mailing to create buzz. The Wilson Playtest thread was removed a while back and no other Wilson "direct" playtests to my knowledge have been started. TW has run a # of playtests.. not all Wilson. Not sure why the Wilson thread was removed.. I am guessing at the request Wilson. There were a few testers that did not follow the playtest "blind" guidelines. That may have been a factor in Wilson pulling the testing.. but one will never know. Draw your own conclusions. 1+1=2

Interesting. I loved the string too and look forward to its release.

If you liked that try the 361 17. Another great string for the 88.

psgd/ vs team or x1 strung high would be crisp. Or orig. syn gut. I ordered a set of the laser fibre syn gut, but nothing is coming!

Wow, I guess some people are seriously having issues with Laserfibre. I ordered 10 sets of their Synthetic Gut in black and blue (would've rather got a reel if it was available from them in those colors), as well as a free set of their Kryptonite X3 and got my order within a week and they even gave me a free "Fear The Ball" Cap that they sell for $10. But I've also heard others getting their orders quick too, so I guess it's random. I haven't tried the Laserfibre Synthetic Gut in a full bed yet, but it feels somewhat crispy hybrided with Topspin Cyberflash.

    Hey Kiteboard,

Please let us know if you get anything from Laserfibre. I know others here have mixed results trying to obtain product from Laserfibre. The sad thing is that I am told, that they have made in the past, some excellent strings. I picked up a few sets last year on closeout and played one set. Did not suit my frame or game..I traded the sets so fast..and had to disappoint many.

If you knew how to read the questions, you'd understand Club's answer, but obviously you don't.
Club is a good member that doesn't need you annoying and demeaning him, maybe you are just jealous because He can afford what you can't.
Go use Dumblop c... and leave the guy alone

For me Signum Pro Tornado and MSV heptatwist 1.30 were very crisp in the first hour strung at 55/53 on RDS mid. Had I used my R-22 I doubt it would've been that crisp due to the flexibility of the racket.

I'm using TF Multifeel for my multi. It's got great control, comfort, and feel. And it imparts spin very well too, after it breaks in. The drawback is that it is rated as not being very durable, but I haven't ever broken it. Initally, you can expect a 2 lb. tension loss. I hope you try it. I'd like them to keep on making it into the distant future.

Oh yeah, crispy. It's got a gut-like crispness with a PU feel.
