    Any contributions would be appreciated.

If someone could make a poll for everybody to vote, that`s even better.

    Thanks

Bar none, Luxilon Big Banger Ace! Best at 10% lower tension. It is not technically polyester, but is always grouped with monofilament in the poly family.
Very thin and even durable for all but huge hitters. This is the gold standard monfilament for non pros.

Signum Poly Pro Plasma 18 gauge is a far less costly alternative, also best at lower tension.

    Good hitting awaits!

if you want power and comfort, I'd recommend:

    genesis black magic
    pro supex big ace
    topspin cyber blue
    topspin concept pure
    SPPP
    Unique BHB

Lux rough for 6 hours, then kirsch pro line II.

SPPP is also good after it breaks in, which in my case took 4 hitting sessions.

From personal experience, Concept Pure and Cyber Blue are the most powerful co-polys I have ever played with.

I hear the Signum Blackline strings are powerful also. Genesis Black Magic also seems to be getting some good feedback here.

Doesn't matter. Just mix any poly you want with a multi or natural gut.

Although my vote is probably for Big Ace...

Weiss Cannon Scorpion. Scorpion is the most powerful of the WC line. Too much power for my taste. Al the Weiss Cannon strings are highly playable - see the tests on the US website.

I notice a lot of members are posting Lux BB ALU Rough in this thread and I have a few questions?

I have only used Lux BB ALU Rough once, and it seemed like a control oriented string which gives lots of spin (with lots of tennis elbow)! In no way did I feel it was powerful!

That particular string is so stiff with zero elasticity. How could it be powerful if its so stiff? Isn't pretty much the opposite of Natural Gut, which tends to be the most powerful string due to its elasticity?

Unique Big Hitter Blue or Topspin Cyberblue. Nothing else is even close in terms of softness and power. Topspin Concept was similar to Pro Hurricane Tour without the texture.

alu power is not a powerful string. your shots just seem more powerful because it allows you to take a bigger cut at the ball. the string itself is very low powered. some people surprise me...

Hyperion is one of few that is soft and powerful. Got some Scorpion today, but haven't tried it yet.
Polyfibre TCS is probably the SOFTEST Copoly you can buy, but it's definitely not high in power.

The "power" label on the luxilon is very misleading.

Yeah, you'd be totally correct, if we weren't only talking about polys.

    But we are.

And compared to other polys, big banger alu is very strong. String it up in one racquet, and take another identical racquet and put something like Solinco revolution in. Go and hit some flat serves. Gauge them. The racquet with the big banger in it will serve bigger, even flat, proving it's more powerful.

MSV Focus HEX is very low-powered. BHBR is the most powerful poly I've used, even strung in the 70s, the ball got pretty deep in the court. It felt like it was strung at 55.

I cant use really powerful strings and therefore never liked natural gut so I like moderately powered polys these days. Wesiscannon Silverstring is nice in all aspects and I prefer it but Volkl Cyclone 18g is more powerful, has a tad more spin and lasts me about 12 hours.

Mosquito Bite should be pretty interesting if you want power and spin.

Good combo for FP. Prestige Mid? Have tried Big Banger Rough and RPM Blast, but just not getting the same feel from this as when it was in the Volkl DNX 10. Maybe I will trie a set of XP in it or Hybrid it with Big Banger in the mains.

Will probably order the Scorpion and Black Magic, do you have any experience wiht the PolyStar Energy? It was mentioned a few times, I might pick that up too. Any Hybrids Poly/Synthetic Hybrids that are good?

Polystar Energy is a good string if you want to restring often. It has poor tension maintenance.

Jack - Do you prefer Black Magic or PL2 over Scorpion? I like Scorpion but it tends to play stiffer in colder temps and wondering if either one might be better in colder weather.

When the temps drop into the lower 50s, my B5E cross feels better than Scorpion but I prefer Scorpion when it gets warmer.

I was playing XP full in the lower temps and then switch to either Big Banger or ALU, sometimes would hybrid XP/BigBang. That was in different racquets and different string patterns. Used to play Gosen Polylon with Prince Synthetic crosses in the Fischer Pro ACT98 but it never seemed to play good in any other frames even the older Revolution Pro's I had picked up.
