    the X-man

High talented player that could play in the top-10.
But his mentality is just too weak. shame.

I forgot her name but this WTA player pull up her top
exposed her chest during a match. I don't remember if it was bare chest
or bra but I think she was fined for it. I think she was
a Russian and this was long time ago...

I think her name is Natasha Zvereva.
She was more of doubles specialist.
Can't find a picture. I don't think it was bare chest, though...

Tommy Haas and girlfriend nude photo (at least from her waist up that we could see) In a german newspaper a couple of years ago.

And a whole lot of stuff that we have no idea about that would be more shocking than anything we will ever post here.

Richard Raskind competed in both the men's and the woman's draw at the United States Open; an "accomplishment" *cough* that'll probably never be matched again.

As a "he," he competed in the 1960 U.S. Open (ostensibly with "Little Richard & the Twins" intact). Then after having his wanginator and kiwis loped off, he, now a she competes in the 1977 U.S. Open woman's draw, drawing Virginia Wade.

(Dis)Honorable Mention: John McEnroe telling Aussie Open official: "go 'bleep' your mother!"....and (not surprisingly) being summarily defaulted from the tournament.

I'd have to agree with my esteemed coleague from the northern realm. Richard, or Dick as he was known to his friends, did compete in the 1960 US Open. Not suprisingly, Dick went away when he competed in his subsequent US Open in 1977. Many claim that Virginia, known as Ginny to her friends, Wade had something to do with the nume de guerre of Dick going away, but this is simply not true. Richard was responsible for the removal of the aforementioned nickname.

Yup. For professional level tennis it's difficult to beat Dr. Raskind/Ms. Richards for a tennis shocker.

I saw him compete at US Men's 35 Clay Courts a couple of years when it was held at Shelter Rock C.C. way back when. (My dad was in the same age group.) Nice player but not as good as the Gene Scotts and King Van Nostrands in the draw. I forget the but Raskind who prior to this was always very touchy feely with some hot women at the event shows up sporting no facial hair and looking a little "puffy" in the chest area. He looked like a taller version of Joe Pesce's character in JFK, plus breasts. Bizarre. At the time the story was being circulated that those were the side effects of treatment he was receiving for some form of cancer. I remember several competitors offering words of encouragement at the event.

Next we here is that Dr. Raskind was now Rene Richards. WTF!? I vividly remember he/she playing the US Open in the women's draw struggling with his/her, well drawers. Evidently tennis panties weren't designed for the male pelvis. Between points I recall Richards having to make more wardrobe "adjustments" than either Williams sister ever had to with some of their more difficult two piece numbers. It was like theater of the absurd. As far as something shocking in pro tennis, everything else seems to come up short or appear limp in comparison.

Didn't the WTA devise a Raskin/Richards rule to keep transexuals from repeating his exploits on the Womens' tour? (I cannot remember if the new rule passed or not....)

I remember one of his early victories on the women's tour.... The defeated lady -- in tears -- asked him something like, "Why are you doing this to us?"
