What kind of bag should a jv highschool player get?

Backpack is easiest, but maybe not enough.
3pk is a waste of time. Silhouette of a real bag with the room of a backpack.
6 is perfect if you travel light and do not need room for shoes and extra shirts and a towel.
I only carry two or three sticks, and i like a 9 or 12. I use the babolat aero. Love the quality and durability. Laptop, book, sticks, shoes...all in.

The way i see it, it is either a stuffed sixer or a roomy 9 or 12. For air travel, get the six. For real life and tournaments, get a 9 or 12. A 15 is too much unless you play and travel like a college player.

Btw, i put my sticks in the non thermo side and three 24oz waterbottles in the cool side. The middle holds all my clothes, wristbands and grips.

I played low varsity on my team last season(hopefully can get a lot higher this coming season though) and I use the murray monstercombi(last year's brown model). Pretty much all of my varsity team and top jv use at least a 9 pack. With two racquets a 3 pack bag is out of the picture. In my opinion unless you want a bigger bag a 6 pack should be fine and you can try the babolat team 6 packs.

So 6 pack or backpack? I will probably get a 6 pack then. How are the Wilson tour bags or the pacific? I use Wilson so I'd prefer that or a company that doesn't make racquets.

I just noticed that the pacific X team blue is the same price as the wilson and has thermo protect technology, so should I get that instead? Or is it just a gimmick?

Glad you aksed. The cool pocket work's ahyeet. You should of aksed your coche, to. Wonder whut he think's.
N.e.way, Pacificz bag's are solid. So are wilsonz bag's.
Adidas', nike, fila and diadora make a solid bag, to.
Duzzen matter weathor your kerryeng lot's of rackit's or just a coupel of racquet's, the six is the minimum if your travalleng from match to match with extra clothe's and bottel's of water's.

Das tha dopest bag, yo. Looks like a brown paper bag. I expect there to be sum mad dog or ripple in there, mang. Or at least a forty, dawg. But evidentleh it was the most boring bag they could think of to match andeh murreh's personaliteh.

Get a 6-pack. Plenty of room for your two racquets and any extra gear you might need to carry. As mentioned, get as much/the biggest bag you can afford. And yes, the thermal lining is very much a gimmick. It won't protect your racquets/strings from extreme heat and cold.

With a six you might have to be wary of over stuffing if you plan to put ball cans, drink bottles and maybe shoes all in one pocket. This is because some 6 packs are quite small, so make so sure you get a bigger 6 pack and look at the dimensions. In the long run though it might be easier to get a 9 or 12, especially if you plan to play tournaments, go on trips where you need to have a lot of stuff with you.

OP is looking for $50 or less. The only choice I see for a 9-pack or greater is the TW branded bag. It's only $20, but the OP seems set on a brand name bag.

Ugh, so many choices. So here are what I am looking at(all 6 pack, recommend anything else you think also):
Wilson Federer Pro
Wilson tour
Wilson team
Pacific bx2 pro racquet x
Pacific X Team Orange Racquet Bag XL

Also, why are the different colors of the Wilson bags from the same line different sizes as far as dimensions go?

Yeah this is why I suggested paying close attention to the dimensions because it would suck to end up with a 6 that is on the smaller side.

Bag? Back in the day I just brought 2 freshly strung sticks , a towel, and some water. No need to look pretty. Just go out there and get the job done.

Well I would recommend a six racquet bag. Unless you have a vehicle, and can store the racquet bag in it, I recommend a 9 pack.

You don't want to be lugging something big like that around classes all day, if you don't have anywhere to store it. And i wouldn't trust any place to store it in a school

forget the bag. just buy a small trailor and pull it with a truck.

Honestly....go to your local sporting goods store and get plain XTra large duffel.

Cool idear, mbut a littal impracticle.
Eye have a golfbag on wheels with an ulectrec moter. It fits tennis rakcts and has a car stereo in it like in the vintage classic movie called caddieschak.
It plays "anyway you want it" by journey, or you can program it to play your itunes if you get wifi. All my friend's love it and crowd around it.
Tha principel let's me stoar it in her offece and like dalivar's it to practice or to the bus's on away match day's.

Kidding, but i will say, my 9pk fits all my gear plus a rechargeable bose speaker. My phone plugs right into it. Love to drill with some music going. Big hit with my elder son. The brothas at the park call me MC Agassi.

9-pack and up. Not for the racquets but other stuff a high school player needs: tennis balls, clothes, a towel, room for school shoes, etc.

Freshman year of high school I didn't even have a bag. Like someone else mentioned earlier, I just went out and got the job done. Most people on my (albeit crappy) team didn't even have a bag. They had one racket and covered it with one the sleeves. I was one of the few who got a bag. You don't need a big one. Just don't keep stuff you don't need in it and you'll be fine with a 6.

I've got 2 racquets and a 6-pak bag and it works great. I use last year's Djokovic series Head bag and it's got plenty of room for extra OGs, wristbands, balls, water, and a towel. If you're planning on bringing more than that, I'd recommend something larger. Especially if you plan to have more than 2 sticks in the near future.

The Prince Carbon looks slick and is a good price: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Prince_Carbon_Collection_Bags/descpageBGPRINCE-PCARB6.html

Here's a good priced Wilson 9-pak: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Wilson_BLX_Club_Bags/descpageBGWILSON-CLUB139.html

Depends what your ego can handle.
Recent Junior Challenger event, boys and girl's down to age 10 were carrying 9 packs with a backpack in addition, just like the pros.

I think a backpack should realistically get the job done, if all you need is space for 1-2 racquets, shoes, water and potentially a change of clothes. If you really want more space then I'd go for a 6 bag, but that'd be overkill.

This...

To the OP...

You have to elaborate... how many racquets do you have? shoes? what's the weather like during Tennis Season (need to bring along jackets, warmup suit...?).

Also how you get to/from school, practice, matches and whether there's a secure place to store the bag during the school day.

Also... If you ride the bus, do you need to bring along your school backpack? Books + classroom material to study on long rides to/from matches?

The more detail you think through... the more you'll realize you can make this decision yourself.

I can't imagine the kid getting on the school bus with with their school backpack, maybe an instrument and a 12 pack bag.

The easiest way to answer this question is to talk to the Varsity players who have played for the school a few years.
