7.0, but that's a prehistoric 7.0 using an eastern-grip. Federer would crush him. Tennis ball meteorites? Entertaining.

He's a top junior in Japan, which would make him basically at least 6.0. If he existed.

pathetic forehand, 1.5 tops. my pet parrot could play better, and he doesnt even have to use meteorites for balls...

hey thats an interesting idea, i should build my parrot a tennis court of his size, i can find something for balls too... he could hold the racket in his beak, and toss the ball for serves with his foot. sweet im going to raise a federer now biotches 8)

Replace "interesting" with "stupid", and "sweet" with "dull".
And if your parrot can play better than the guy from the cartoon, your parrot could beat you

well, considering ryoma won the us open (beating either hewitt and/or blake)...and that tezuka would probably beat ryoma, 8.0

    Not even kidding haha

Although Ryoma beat Hewitt he did not win the US Open. That year must of been 2003. In that year Roddick won the tournament that year.
Hint: Ryoma made an early exit from the US Open that is why he is able to play in the nationals.

He has a solid one hander was well. I'm surprised there haven't been any posts on how to hit a Tezuka forehand.

seriously though... its nothing like tennis, I was considering watching this show but from the looks of it, just a bunch of nonsense "super shots"... maybe there is more drama like all animes do. anyone how does this compare to naruto, bleach, fma? and if you say people that watch animes are automatically nerds... then, hey, I dont care lol, not gonna let your insecurities effect what I do... and most people that at first disses the shows, falls in love with after watching it, me being one.

You sure? Anyways, it doesn't matter, since it's all filler (ie not actually based on the manga. In the manga, there was no US Open for him to go to...).

As for all you people who have never seen POT, let me tell you- it's usually not this ridiculous, although it IS very exaggerated. Basically they take regular shots and take them to the extreme for their specialty shots- in the form of spin or power. And sometimes, like in this case, they make stuff out of the blue.

And uhm, this whole dinosaur thing isn't actually the FOREHAND, but the TEZUKA ZONE, which is an ability that has him spinning the ball so all of them come back to him, no matter where the opponent hits it =D This vid doesn't have the translations, but that's what the guy is talking about. If you don't believe that the whole dino thing is not for the fh, though, notice how all the balls/planets whatever are being drawn to the sun.

edit- I watched that part again... it's a BACKHAND! What are you guys talking about =X
edit again- I see the fh now.. can you really rate one based on the followthrough only!?

This was my fav part when I watched the movie. I laughed.. so hard.

Geez, there goes all the respect (however little I had) I had built up on this board XD

Yes I am sure. The main reason is the last episode aired around 2003. In the series Ryoma had to decide whether to participate in the US Open or the Nationals. There wasn't enough time to play both. Since he was able to make it back to Japan to play the Nationals as shown in the 1st OAV episode it means he must have lost in one of his matches at the US Open.

I repeat since the US Open schedule overlaps the Nationals there is no way for Ryoma to play the Nationals if he made it to the finals of the US Open. Ryoma got to play Hewitt in the early round because he was a wild card player and just managed to pull an upset.

When the last episode was aired Federer was not the number 1 player in the world yet. So I assumed they used the current years US Open which means Roddick must have won the major.

    This thread is a joke.

    Really.

Anyways..... that forehand is as good as any pro out there in real life. Just everything in that video is exaggerated.

3.5 to 4.0. Needs more pronation on the forehand as he's hitting through the ball.

I'd kill this guy on the court. He's way too weak. He's only a 3.5 to 4.0 if all he can do is destroy the Earth.

But after the first one, there were NO dinosaurs left to kill. It was just not fun the second time

    DragonNeedSpank,

Tezuka is tough. You first need to be able to get through Tezuka zone. All the balls you hit will fly into the center. No matter how you hit it. Next you need to be able to read the Zero Nishiki drop shot. When he executes it you must not let the ball drop. Once the ball drops it won't bounce again. Also Tezuka is able to disguise the zero nishiki drop shot. Just when you see him hit the drop shot he can hit a backhand drive at will.

For starters practice breaking Roddick's serve consistently because Tezuka has crazy power on his serve.

BTW Tezuka's first serve percentage is 100%.

Shots I believe you will need (Can only think of one atm): Hit the net tape with forehand and backhand drives at will consistently along with a smash that can do that too. (The ball must land really close to the net after it hits the net tape)

Watch Fuji Shusuke play Tezuka as that match is easiest to watch with all the dazzling effects. I think it was around episode 170. Somewhere there.
