Alright, have it your way Nathaniel :)

Well all the fanboy fights over the Federer-Nadal rivalry just got too much for me. With that rivalry all but finished, I thought it might be a little easier to survive in this forum though I must admit the Joker fanboys are doing a pretty admirable job :)

But now is worse than ever for the Federer-Nadal rivalry but it's taken on a different angle now -- one of GOAThood. Have you not been reading the boards recently? Topics on GOAThood, Roger, Rafa, and how they stack up, or how they might stack up by the end of their careers, are all the rage. What's more is that I am a very guilty perpetrator for this continuous proliferation of legacy threads.

as a nadal fan, i think all of this is 1) premature, given that both are still playing, and 2) nadal himself says check the record books, fed is the greatest.

i guess this one is philosophical....

Nathaniel, this is my first day back after over 2 years and in those 2 years not one post did I read here! :)

So things haven't changed much? Oh well, better that I just look on the bright side ... lots of Federer fans to wind up!

Nope, you'll learn how to read me in time though.

It's just what has happened, I mean look at The Dark Knight, for example. He's on a crusade of epic proportions.

I think to win Wimby he has to win the final, no?

He did comfortably beat Rafa to win 2011 Wimby. And remember he came back from the RG'11 loss and beat Fed in straights at RG '12. As much as I would like Fed to win, Djoker being in his prime with no fitness issues unlike Fedal and even Murray, has the advantage.

But that is not something he can do.
If they had a choice, everyone in the draw would avoid the big 4, but that is next to impossible.

Pretty much. That's the problem here. Djokovic IS probably the worst of the top 4 on grass, but he is not that much worse, and he's perfectly capable of winning the title without needing "help" to do so.

    Yes.

At this stage in their careers though, I would favor djokovic against rafa on grass at wimbledon.

Nadal played fine against novak in 2011, but just got outplayed in the final.

Agree, but I think he played far better against Del Potro.

His serve % was ridiculous that match, but he did have some mental midgetry there.

Wouldn't blame him though, considering the circumstances.

Good point, point taken. I've left it in the OP anyway but yes, he isn't in control of this.

So you got lured in by Clarky21 ? I owe her one for this big favor.

Hope you stick around -- I'd like you to be around when Nole gives your hero a beating at RG ... eventually :)

Avoid Federer and Murray. Similar to 2011.

He is mediocre on grass. Him winning Wimbledon is the equivalent of Sharapova winning RG on clay.... And I like Maria but it's the truth.
