Watched him during Davis Cup tonight, he looks like a complete idiot with that new hairdo.

A Mohawk? What the heck was he thinking?? If this is reflective of his fiance's influence, heaven help him.

Andy, shave it off! You look like a ninth grader.

    Ah, that certainly explains it.
    Thanks for posting.

I'm glad there was a reason, I was really starting to wonder about him...

There are plenty at Yahoo Tennis.

Good on Brooke, beating him in the NCAA brackets.

Roddick should have played without a hat on against Llodra to showoff the mohawk.

Did she cut it? Was that part of the bet too?

Bettting for hair cuts is really dumb. I wonder what would have happened had she lost? Did he get to cut her hair.

It is his fiance's fault. He lost a bet with her.

I think he's got a great sense of humor to actually go through with the bet and he knows he looks like a fool with that hairdo. Lighten up. It's funny.

I doubt it, neither one of them is stupid enough to mess with her career. Getting a stupid haircut doesn't affect Andy's career. I wouldn't be surprised if he cleans it up after this weekend.

That's sorta the point. When was the last time you lost a bet and looked smart?

Seriously, you guys should take that rod out of your ass and lighten up a bit.

I don't think it looks that bad. In fact, quite a few men are sporting that style (and that's by choice - no bet involved). Besides, hair grows back quickly and the guy is usually wearing a hat anyway.

I had a mohawk before my most recent haircut. I got bored with having the same hairstyle, and as CC said, it grows back quickly. People liked it, and I did too. Now I'm just looking for another whacky hairstyle for me to sport. Any suggestions?

HS, I wouldn't even call Roddick's a mohawk since the sides aren't shaved - I believe his is a fauxhawk. As for styles, if you are seeking 'wacky' I suggest growing it out a little and getting a tight perm. Come on....you know you wanna! lol.

That was a stupid statement. I don't like Roddick that much either, but you're just being an idiot. Until you turn pro yourself and throw Roddick to the floor, you can just be quiet.

I thought he looked like the sergeant in a Police Academy movie after he got his head stuck in a horse's butt. Realllllly bad 'do! Makes him rather look like America's current president to me: emphasis on his eyes being too close together. I kept thinking it was just the camera angle as they rather showed him in profile or 3 quarters view, but full on...!!! really messed up.

It does play into his sense of humor. Now that I know it's because of the bet, it's not that big of a deal.

Roddick is one of the few players out there with a good sense of humor - most folks look forward to his press interviews.
I'd like to hear him talk about the 'hawk. He's knows he's gonna get asked by the reporters and is probably looking forward to it - a chance to be funny even if he's the butt of the joke.

I don't think anything will bother him for about a year after beating Fed. He's on cloud nine.

Actually, that style is really big in Europe. Maybe not exactly how he did it, but when I went to Germany it was everywhere...

well i am kind of sick of people saying Europe as if it was one country!!!! The countries(a lot) are so different. And ps that style was a bit popular in my country in northern Europe like 5 years ago, and yes the Andy version is not really that special(not a real mohawk)

I am not a Roddick fan either but I have to tip my hat to him. I have to commend him for following up on a bet even if it made him look stupid. On national TV too! He could have easily weaseled out but he stuck with it. He may not be popular with a lot of people here but lighten up.

I think what you meant to say was "I saw a lot of people in GERMANY with that hairdo". You are aware that the 26 or so nations in the EU are COUNTRIES aren't you? Btw, I live in the UK (which is NOT ENGLAND!!!!!) and I've not seen anyone with that style of hair do. Maybe you should read a book called the ATLAS, in there you'll find all these wonderful places not in America.

Not all. It depends on where you are from. A number of extremely "laid back" European countries. There are a lot of young German guys with this hairstyle in Germany, as well as some Turks, etc. but usually it is worn gelled or with hair wax to make it look less like a baby's "after nap" smashed look.

Did Agassi ever play with a 1-handed backhand? I ask this because in the photo above, he's holding 2 balls in his left hand while about to serve...assuming the ball comes back, how is he to hit a 2-handed backhand?

Yeah :p But al lot of Europeans talk in the same way about other continents.

All there is on this world:
    - All the different countries in Europe
    - North America (consisting of USA, Canada, Mexico)
    - Mid-America (consisting of all those little countries in the ocean)
    - South America (the bunch of less-developed countries that form the southern block of countries on our west side)
    - Africa (everything below us, par the South Pole)
    - Russia
    - Middle East (the countries to our right side that consist of desert and oil)
    - East (all the other stuff that exists on the far right)
    - Australia and New Zealand
    - North Pole + Greenland
    - South Pole
