IMO, they both feel and play the same as thin gauge polys. I guess it then boils down to a matter of color preference ... :)

I have a very hard and fast swing with a full Eastern grip. I really like the solid yet comfortable feel of BA 1.17 and Micro when hammering DTL shots or brushing up on the ball to hook cross court passing shots. Comments from my opponents is the my ball hits them like a missle and is quite unreturnable as it skims the ground when the ball lands!

So far, I've not had them snap on me even after 30 hours of play. Do bear in mind that this is because I hot mainly flat shots. Durability would definitely suffer for those with semi/extreme Western grips and tons of topspin.

I wouldn't choose that string unless he never breaks string or breaks them once every few months. The micro is thin plus the gosen is thin so it will be kind of fragile.

I like SP Titan 16 as the cross. I'm settling in at BA Micro @ 50/SP Titan @ 52 for now.

I'm going to try Spiral Flex crosses when they get back in stock.

    Tell us how it plays?

Nick what did you used to use as a cross with Big Ace, when you were in love with BA a few months back?

I always used a full Big Ace stringjob...never liked it as much in a hybrid.

Ps Im using a kevlar hybrid now...cant be bothered stringing my frames all the time!

I like BA Micro with either Pro Supex Titan 1.25 or Pro Supex Maxim Touch 1.25. With the Maxim Touch you can really hit out on the ball and the ball stays in. However I'm not sure how long it is going to last. I don't break strings a lot but I do saw them. I string both combinations relative tight and they are still very comfortable on my the arm. I have a history of tennis elbow and I haven't had a problem with either combination.

THE SPIN I GET.. is so RIDICULOUS.. the ball is completely bald after one set.
My racquet strings is litterally covered in neon green fuzz after I hit with ACE.
Luxilon Ace is great for an dense string pattern racquet. For a open string pattern, it's just a lil bit too irratic on my serve. I already hit with spin on my serve, so I don't need that extra something.
