I bought a fischer M-Pro no.1 98 on**** and the seller, from China, sent along a 40' length of string, that was not mentioned in the description.
so I decided to use it, to save 4 and out of curiosity.
I will hit with it for the first time, tomorrow and see how it feels.
does anyone know what this string may be?
I looked at it under a USB microscope and it does look to be a single, round string, but with 2 colors.

Please post a picture since there are many multi colored strings, but without seeing it, there's no way to tell.

I strung this for BruceD today and it looked and felt like a typical poly with no markings except for the subtle two tone coloring.Black on one side and purplish-brown on the other.
I seem to remember some older Prince syngut that was colored like this.

Gamma Verve & Prince Twisted are 2 strings that have 2 colours, but neither have black/brown combo.

I suspect that it is either a discontinued string or something that is not available on this side of the Pacific.

^^^Yep, there isn't one on the market right now that is black and brown AND is a synthetic. So it's a brown and black poly string?

OP, I have a strong suspicion that a. you will not find out what this string is and b. even if you did, you won't be able to get more of it.

    It's a twin-wrap

Now that I hit a few balls with it, a small area has started to break down already. The two colors ARE two fibers, that now have begun to split and I also see many small fibers with the brown color. So it must be some kind of synthetic or co-poly blend.
I have a feeling I will vbe visiting Micheal again, soon!
Hits GREAT tho, with the extra overall weight giving my shots some serious punch!
Tomorrow I will be spending some court time with it, during some training or may be on my own, working on a serve at a court, so I hope it holds up for a little longer!
I guess I wouldn't be looking for more of this string, but I'm just curious to what it will compare to, when it's time for a restring.

400x close-up of the split string

Here's the mystery string. It's showing the top half of the split in the string. The other half is more solid looking.[IMG]
